Third Person POV

Jeongguk lingers in the hallway in front of the door of his room, staring at Taehyung's door at the end of the hallway, deciding whether to go talk to him or not.

After Taehyung had left the dinner, silence enveloped them. Jeongguk knew everyone must be surprised considering he never lashed out like this, not on such little matters, ever.

Yoongi would've been happy seeing Taehyung actually being on a receiving end, not so sassy anymore that some actually shut him up---maybe he is a bit satisfied but not happy.

It wasn't because of Taehyung at all but because of Seokjin. If it was even Hoseok treating Seokjin like this no matter how much he loves him, he'd never excuse him. And he was actually glad that Taehyung is speaking for Seokjin which no one else can even when he knew it won't end nice.

He was hoping Taehyung would yell back, say something snarky to Jeongguk but he was surprised that Taehyung left even though his silence spoke volumes.

Jeongguk had left to his office and Namjoon to his room, giving Seokjin one sympathetic look and the other was still looking down. The rest stayed because Seokjin walked towards them and told them to eat and forget what happened---like he always does.

In his office, Jeongguk stares blankly at the laptop screen but his mind wandering off to some place else---on someone else.

He had almost knocked on Taehyung's door but then walked back in the office. Couldn't believe he didn't have the strength to knock on a fucking door and talk to Taehyung.

He did wrong, he knows but he didn't realise it that moment. He just couldn't bear Taehyung talking about Seokjin all the damn time. It's not necessary at all. He just doesn't want it.

Jeongguk had made it clear to Taehyung, his one and only rule that he better not provoke him and by talking about Seokjin like that or in any way, he's doing exactly that. Jeongguk is respecting Taehyung's rules so it's fair that Taehyung does the same.

But he feels bad for snapping at him infront of everyone. He had expected him to say something, anything because his silence is worse. Jeongguk hates it---he wants Taehyung to yell at him, say anything at all but not stay silence.

He hears a knock and mumbles a faint come in even though he didn't feel like talking to anyone. Hoseok and Namjoon stride inside the office.

"What is it?" Jeongguk asks.

"The guy with the triangle tattoo who messed up with the drugs---may have given us a lead to who paid him to do this." Namjoon says.

"May have?" Jeongguk asks.

"A probable lead. Eighty percent it's true." Hoseok says.

"Hyunjae?" Jeongguk says and the two nod. The mafia boss sighs.

"He had some local gang in his hands and that gang got some guy to pull this stunt. He's messing with you again. He's making others see the reality differently, making other parties know we are messing with the substances, taking money but not giving the pure shit." Hoseok says.

"How many are there in the gang?" Jeongguk asks.

"It's a new gang. They're built but they're fucking dumb. Barely 10, for now." Hoseok says.

Namjoon keeps looking at Jeongguk, sees how tired he looks, how he isn't paying much attention to matter at hand. He almost looks---lost.

"Hyunjae won't stop until you meet him or give Taehyung back to him." Namjoon says and Jeongguk glares at him.
