Third Person POV

2 Years Later

"Jeongguk?"

Seems like Namjoon's call for his voice once again was in vain because just like always, in every mission they go to or come back from, Jeongguk seems to shut off himself.

All of them had seen certain changes in Jeongguk over past two years. He already used to be a quiet person but now, it seems to have gotten enhanced. But still not in a bad way that he won't even talk to his team members.

He did, he'd always listen to what they have to say and would never slack off from his duty as a mafia boss.

Mafia boss. The title that he thinks of and it makes him want to curl up on in his bed and cry.

It's the title, the occupation, something he was always meant to be yet its what made him be apart from his lover.

Jeongguk simply closes his eyes at the call of his name from Namjoon, closing his bloodied knuckles as well, feeling no ache whatsoever because he's numb to such pain.

The only thing that doesn't really make him cry are the words Taehyung spoke to him when he left, the words he still feels were mere dream or his hallucinations.

I love you, Jeon Jeongguk.

Two years have passed in a blink of an eye yet they still feel like he's been living in endless eons and the longer he pretends to be okay without Taehyung here, the more his heart aches and goes against this decision of his.

Not a single day he didn't think of Taehyung, not a single day he didn't miss him.

Namjoon doesn't call him again because he knows he won't get an answer, just like it's always been. Silent and deep in thoughts.

They reach the mansion and Jeongguk doesn't stop even after the call from Seokjin about the dinner.

"Let him be." Namjoon says as he walks towards Seokjin, greeting his lover with a kiss on his lips.

"He pretends he's okay but we all know he's not." Seokjin whispers, resting his head on Namjoon's shoulder.

"It's been two years and everyday he's missing him more than he's trying to forget him." Seokjin says.

"Can't we do anything for him?" Seokjin asks his lover.

"Jeongguk didn't listen. He didn't even try when I told him back then." Namjoon says. "He said it's impossible."

"Said it's impossible to get out of this fucked up world no matter how hard he tries." Namjoon says.

"Well he's not trying hard enough! He doesn't deserve to live like this even when Taehyung said he loves him!" Seokjin exclaims and Namjoon smiles at his adorable huff.

"Leaving all this is a difficult task, next to impossible but trust me, I've seen him trying." Namjoon says.

"Keep pressing this matter to him yeah?" Seokjin utters and Namjoon nods.

"You know I will." Namjoon pecks Seokjin's lips.

"Let's go to bed." Seokjin nods.
