"This is the one I was telling you about. I got it from a rare book dealer in Germany. Cost me two hundred bucks, but it was totally worth it." Mason tells Jules and Liam as they walk to their first class of sophomore year. "You're still reading about this stuff?" Liam asks him, worried Mason would find out about them. "I was attacked by an armor-plated giant wearing a bear skull. It left an impression. Look. Look. Have you ever seen anything like this?" He says to them pointing to he drawing of a Beserkers on the page. "Uh, no. Never." Jules answers him as she drags the two boys to class.
"And then there's this whole section about the Nagual. Have you ever heard of the name Tezcat..." Mason struggles to pronounce "Tezcatlipoca." Liam finishes for him. "No. No, never heard of him." Liam adds as they walk into class, Jules sitting in front of Mason as Liam found a seat next to a black haired girl. "Oh! Great. " Jules could hear Liam say. "Liam. You're not gonna just stand there, are you?" Mr.Yukimura asks him. "Maybe." Liam says as he scans the room for another seat. "The whole semester?" Mr.Yukimura asks. "Maybe." Liam answers him.
"Liam, have a seat. "
Liam sitting uncomfortably in his seat, lifting his butt to see a piece of gum on it, the one the girl had been chewing. Mason laughing as Jules rolled her eyes, not liking the attitude the girl was showing.

"Look, I'm not saying I believe all of it a hundred percent, but people around us seem to know things. Like Lydia, she knows things." Mason tells his friends as they walk to their lockers, Liam holding the pants that had been stained with gum. "Dude, it's the first day at school. Shouldn't you be thinking about other things like, Like the soccer team?" Liam asks him, as he opens his locker. " What do you think I'm going to do? Follow them out to the field and watch them practice while I pretend to study?" Mason asks then. "Yeah basically." Jules tells him as Mason rolls his eyes at her. "It's warm out. They're probably gonna be shirtless." Liam says as Mason begins to check out the soccer players. "I'll see you guys in Physics." Mason tells them, following the soccer team as Jules waits for Liam to finish up with his locker, noticing the same girl from their history class was next to him.
"Nice shorts." She says slamming her locker shut. "Yeah, thanks. You know, I was wondering if you were still pissed off about the sixth grade, but I guess you cleared that up." Liam tells her. "I'm not pissed off, Liam. I'm vengeful." She says smiling wickedly and walking away. "What the hell is her problem?" Jules asks Liam as he slams his face into his locker. "I'll tell you about it later." Liam tells her as she gets a text from Scott.
Scott: Meet us in the locker room.
Jules: how come?
Scott: Theo
Jules reads, immediately walking to the locker room, leaving Liam to mope against his locker. Jules didn't know why, but something felt different about Theo. She knew him and Stiles had played in little league together and she wasn't very close with him, but something about him seemed off. "I was skating in a neighbor's empty pool, trying to do a handplant. Nobody was home. "Jules heard Theo explain as she walked in, silently saying hello so Theo could continue the rest of his story. "I'm not that good of a skateboarder, but I guess I was feeling pretty determined because I completely lost track of time. I didn't even realize that was night until the yard lights came on. Like I said, I wasn't very good. On my last try I went down and hit hard. Really hard. I was sitting there at the bottom of the pool and I realized something. I never heard the board come back down. It came at me fast. I barely had a chance to turn around before it bit me." He finishes pointing to a spot on his stomach. "Right here."
