Chapter 27!

Recap:

We got to our resort about 45 minutes later.

We checked in, and someone led us to our room.

We had one of those conjoined rooms so that Cody and I shared a room, and Jake had his own.

Jake wanted the room with the double bed, so Cody and I got the room with the two single beds. ((LOL))

“Of course Jake would want that room.” Cody said, laughing.

I laughed.

“Why?” I asked.

“To keep us from sleeping together.” He said, rolling his eyes.

I raised my eyebrows.

“Why doesn’t he want that?” I asked.

Cody smirked at me.

“So you do want to sleep in the same bed as me, aye?” He asked, coming towards me.

I felt my face heat up.

“Uh…” I mumbled.

Cody chuckled.

“You do.” He said, laughing again.

I shrugged and then plopped onto one of the single beds.

Jake ran into our room with his swimming shorts on.

“YOU GUYS READY TO HIT THE POOL?” Jake shouted.

I couldn’t help but laugh.

“Jake, you’re beyond excited about this…aren’t you?” I asked.

“REALLY, REALLY, REALLY EXCITED, MAGGIE!” He yelled again.

I laughed once again.

“How about you and Cody go enjoy the pool for a couple hours while I nap?” I asked, scared of Cody would say.

Cody turned to me with a blank expression on his face.

“What?” He asked.

“Sorry, Cody. My ears just really, really hurt.” I said, frowning.

He rummaged through his bag and pulled out a bottle full of pills.

“Here, take an aspirin.” He said chucking one to me.

“Thanks.” I said.

“Need some water?” He asked.

I let out a small laugh.

“Yes please.” I said.

He smiled.

“Here you go, babe.” He said, walking over to my bed and handing me some water.

“Thank you.” I said, smiling.

He sat down beside me and kissed my forehead.

“Feel better. We’ll be back up in a couple hours. If you’re feeling better by then, then come out!” He said.

I smiled at him once again.
