Recap:

“So, we’re gonna skype every night when I’m not there, right?” He asked.

“Time difference, though.” I said, frowning.

“So?” He said.

“What if I fall asleep?” I asked.

“Well, what if I fall asleep?” He asked.

“What if I snore?” I asked.

“What if we both snore?” He asked.

“That’d be cute.” I said, kissing his nose.

“Me? Snoring? That’s down right adorable!” Cody said, winking.

“I’m sure.” I said, winking back.

“Well,” Cody said, looking at his watch, “10 more hours to go.” He said.

I sighed.

“That’s a lot of hours.” I said.

“It is indeed, my lady.” Cody said.

Cody pulled out a peach from his carry on bag.

“I’ve always wondered why peaches had fur.” Cody said.

“What if the reason peaches have fur is because they were made to be petted, what if peaches were made to be domesticated, not eaten…” I said.

Cody looked at me, then slowly put the peach back in his bag.

He laughed.

“I really don’t get you.” He said.

“That’s the whole point. You’re not supposed to.” I said, smiling.

He smiled, and then kissed my cheek.

“It’s why I love you though.” He said.

“The weirdest people are the best people, always remember that.” He said, winking at me.

“What makes you cry?” I asked, randomly.

“Sad songs and farts.” Cody said, breaking out into laughter.

“It’s actually so funny because I said that in an interview before and I couldn’t stop laughing afterwards!” Cody said, still laughing, but even harder.

I began laughing as well because if you actually heard it in his voice, it’d be way more hilarious!

I am so in love. Do you know what I’m talking about? The kind of love where the sun could shine or not shine all day and you wouldn’t care. The kind of love that makes you want to jump in the pool in December. The kind of love that makes you want to dance in the rain.

I woke up, and looked at my surroundings.

There was fire.

People around me were groaning with pain, and some were even dead.

The plane had crashed.

I saw Cody.

He was lying on the ground, unconscious.

I ran over to him and shook him.

Nothing.

I shook him harder, screaming his name.
