Cody’s POV

I smiled at Maggie.

“Tomorrow, I think I should stay home for a few nights. I mean, I haven’t had a normal conversation with my mom for days.” Maggie said, now with a serious look on her face.

Alli lightly laughed.

“That’s probably the best idea you’ve gotten since last month.” Alli said, smirking.

“Well we really haven’t done anything in the past month for me to get an idea.” Maggie said, playfully pushing Alli.

“Well, I know one thing.” Alli said, looking very serious.

“What’s that?” I asked.

“I’m really excited to finally turn 14!” Alli squealed.

Maggie and I laughed at how excited Alli was.

“Being 14 was so last year for me.” Maggie said, winking at me.

“Oh! Me too!” I said, winking back.

Alli crossed her arms in front of her chest.

“Shutup.” She said, cracking a smile.

It was silent for a few minutes.

“Guys, I didn’t mean it literally.” Alli said, looking from me to Maggie several times.

Maggie was completely zoned out.

“So, have you told Maggie about your tour next month?” Alli asked, thinking this was the best time to tell Maggie.

I felt my eyes widen.

“No. I was going to tell her next week.” I said clenching my teeth.

Maggie was looking at me now with eyes full of hurt.

“How long have you known about this tour?” Maggie asked me.

I scratched my head.

“Umm…maybe a week or two.” I quietly said.

“Cody…” She started.

"Fine, fine. I knew since the beginning of March."

“Why didn’t you tell me?!” She asked.

“I didn’t think it was that much of a deal…” I said.

“Well, it is!” She half shouted.

“Why?” I asked.

“Because, Cody! I was just starting to fall in love with you once again, and then you’re just going to leave me?!” She yelled, storming out of the room.

My head shot towards Alli.

“Why, Alli?! Why the hell would you say that?! WHY?” I yelled.

“I didn’t know! I’m sorry!” She yelled back.

“Yeah, you don’t know a lot of things, do you?!”

Alli shook her head, and stormed out of the room also.

I plopped down on the couch, and sighed.

I took out my phone, and dialled Matt’s number.

“Hello?” He asked.

“Matt, it’s Cody.”

“Oh, hey. What’s up?”

“I was just wondering…would I be able to take one extra person on the tour?” I asked.
