Watching as Y/n walked in front of me, pointing out all the little fish, I couldn't help but realize how hopelessly in love with him I was. Currently, I was out on a date with my boyfriend of 4 years, Y/n. We decided to go to an aquarium, Y/n's favorite place to go. Originally, I had wanted to propose to him today, but decided against it. I still hadn't found the perfect ring and needed to ask Craig about it.

"Ollie, come here! Look at the stingrays, they're so cute!" I was snapped out of my thoughts by Y/n's voice as he dragged me towards the stingray exhibit. I laughed a little at his excitement.

"Slowdown, cherié. I see them," I said, pulling out my phone to take a couple of pictures of him with the rays.

"Oh! Oh! Oh! Do you think they'll have the sea lion show like the usually do? I really hope they do I haven't seen it in so long," he asked, looking at me with huge eyes. I smiled softly before shrugging.

"We can ask, but let's go eat first, yeah?"

"Okay, okay. Fine. Only if we get to stop at the gift shop too."

"Deal."

I really was head over heels for this boy and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I decided to ask Craig about the rings. Considering he was the only married man, I wanted to ask him for help. He knew more about this than anyone else. Well, maybe except for Aleksandr. But the Russian wasn't around much and mostly spent his time with the other Spetsnaz or Lera.

"You know, Y/n I think would like a more simple ring. He doesn't seem like the big fancy type," the man said, pointing out a couple rings as we scrolled through a site online.

"Yeah, you're right. Maybe that one?" I asked, pointing to a fairly simple ring. Although it was rather small and nothing special, it's design was relatively intricate. It was a ringlet of twisted branches with a spot for a flower shaped jewl.

"Consider Y/n is a farm boy, I think he'd love it," he laughed. Y/n had grew up on a farm in the country side of h/c (home country).

"Thanks again for helping me. I'd probably still be scrambling to try and find a good one," I said as I started to pack up to leave.

"No problem. But I better be the first person you're inviting to the wedding," Craig demanded before shooing me off. "Now go get him."

It had been another couple of months. We were going back to Y/n's favorite aquarium, where I planned to propose to him. I had already asked the people at the place to be in on it and I think they were pretty excited to be part of it.

"Y/n, the sea lion show is starting in five. If we get there now, we can get some good seats," I said, tugging his hand lightly as I headed towards the sea lion exhibit. His eyes lit up as he nodded and instead started pulling me towards it.

Five minutes. Five minutes until I asked Y/n to be mine.

When the show finally started, I was nervous. My heart my was in my throat as I absent mindedly rubbed the velvet box. Y/n didn't seem the pick up my nerves, seemingly focused on the show. What he didn't know was the show was about to be about him. He also didn't know that a lot of our friends were scattered about in the audience.

"Alright, for this next part, we're gonna need someone from the crowd to be down here. Hmm," the host said pretending to scan the crowd. Y/n waved his hand enthusiastically, wanting to be part of it so bad.

"You! With the blue jumpsuit!"

Y/n laughed, standing up and booking it down, allowing me to subtly scoot my way farther down the rows of seats. My heart was racing,my nerves making it sound like I was underwater.

"Alright, we're gonna have you stand right here between Danny and Tofu," the host said as she guided Y/n to his position. He was giddy with excitement and I couldn't help but think that he could be mine for forever.

"Oh, looks like Tofu has something for you!" She exclaimed as she pointed at the smaller sea lion. In its mouth was a little envelope, addressed to Y/n. He grabbed it, opening very slowly, like it would break in his hands.

'Turn around, mon amour' (my love)

Eyes widening, he turned around, spotting me across the pool, holding out for the ring to him. Behind me, Gustav was grinning as he held a gigantic seal plush holding a sign that said 'Marry Me?' with an arrow pointing down.

Tears welled in his eyes as he booked it down the catwalk in the middle of the pool, throwing himself into me as he nodded his head vigorously.

Standing here, in front of all these people, I felt like puking my nerves were so bad. My friends, even my family came to the wedding. It was like the day at the aquarium all over again.

"You'll do fine, amie. Y/n said yes for a reason," Gustav mumbled in my ear, trying to reassure me. He's right. Y/n knows what he wants and he wouldn't have said yes if he didn't want this.

Hearing the sound of the music start, I glanced over and held my breath.

(Y'all got an outside wedding)

There Y/n was, walking down the isle with his father. He looked absolutely stunning, his hair trimmed and styled in a way that was perfect on only him. His white suit was pristine and neat.

He looked just like an angel and that was all I could think of. That he was perfect and I got to call him mine for the rest of my days.

Sitting at the dining room table, you flipped through old photos and letters from and with Olivier. Your ached, missing your beloved husband dearly. He'd been deployed again, somewhere in New Mexico to deal with a new outbreak. He'd been gone for three weeks now, sending you laters every other day and keeping you updated in the situation. If everything went according to plan, he'd be home in the next few weeks.

So you thought.

You lay in bed that night, missing the warmth of Ollie, wishing he were there with you. You managed to fall into a fitful sleep, as had been the pattern since he left.

...

The next morning, you woke up to th sweet smell of pancakes from the kitchen. Sliding out of bed, the covers still wrapped around you, you walked out there, almost expecting someone like Julien or Mina to be there. Both had stopped by multiple times to make breakfast or just keep you company.

You weren't expecting a certain Olivier Flament. Dropping the blanket, you laughed, launching yourself at the blonde French. He grinned, dropping the spatula to pick you up.

"I've missed you so so much, mon amour," he mumbled, building me close as he pressed kisses to your temple and forehead.

"And I've missed you much too," you whispered back, holding onto him for dear life.

And just like that, your life was made perfect.
