I pick up my phone, scroll thorugh the contacts and click on Leorio's name. He picks up very quickly and I hear him land a punch on some random guy. He says,
"Wha- hello, sorry, I was surrounded."
I laugh and respond,
"Turn around."
He gets excited as he does so and then asks,
"Where are you?"
I tease him further,
"Not that side, the other one."
I can hear the shuffling as he turns to the other side and declares,
"I don't see you. Are you here?"
I admit with a grin,
"No, I'm out of the country, but the thought of you aimlessly turning in circles looking for me was quite amusing."
Leorio says,
"Damn you, Kurapika. I thought you were here."
I respond,
"I know, I'm working a job for the boss. We're at a mall in Spain searching for a rare item, and I'm quite bored."
Leorio laughs,
"That's good though, means you're not in danger. When will I see you again?"
I answer with,
"True, but I live for action. My chains would love to taste the blood of a Phantom Troupe member. You'll see me in a week when the boss returns home from her vacation."
He says,
"Okay, see you then. And I'm sure, but please stay safe and be careful. Enjoy the sights."
I answer,
"I will. Bye, Leo."
He says back to me,
"Bye, Pika."
That one phone call made my day, but the thugs I had to beat shortly after we left the shopping center were a close second.
