19. A STEP CLOSER

The family members reached the guest room hearing the noises. They were shocked to see the scenario. Myra as soon as saw them ran towards haseena and hugged her.

Myra - haseena please bachao mujhe anu paagal ho gaya hai. Dekho na voh kaise behave kar raha hai

Anu - maine kuch nahi kya. Kuch bhi mat bolo tum.

Haseena- pehle tum shaant ho jao.

Karishma- yeh tum kya bakwaas kar rahi ho mere bhaiyaa ne kuch nahi kiya hai

Myra - tum uski behan ho toh aisa hi bologi na apne bhaiyaa ka hi side logi

Anu- meri behan mai sahi hu iss liye meri side par hai naa ki iss wajah se ki vo meri behan hai

Haseena - myra pehle tum shaant ho jao yaha par shanti se baitho aur phir batao ki kya hua thik hai

Everyone was looking shockingly at haseena. Anu didn't feel like giving explanations anymore or to tell the truth from his side after hearing this from haseena.

Myra - mai party enjoy kar rahi thi ki achanak se anu mere pass aaya and kehne laga ki usne yeh shaadi majboori mei ki hai vo bas tumhe jhel raha hai and all that. Myra - nai aur kuch nai

Haseena made Myra stand by holding her shoulders and then myra was rewarded with two tight slaps by haseena. Everyone present over there were looking at her shockingly.

Haseena (outraged) - how dare you tumhari himmat kaise hui anubhav par itna ghatiya ilzaam lagane ki. He is a gentleman. Inhone aaj tak kabhi meri permission ke bina mujhe nahi chua. Myra left. All this while anu was just looking at haseena and she too looked back at him. They were about to talk but elders interrupted and told them to go downstairs. Again at the party they were about to talk but karishma took haseena with her to introduce her to her friends.

The party ended. Haseena after completing the work went to her room. She saw anubhav sitting at the edge of the bed. He hadn't changed. Anubhav on hearing the door open looked towards it and saw haseena standing over there.

They both called each others name together and then went towards each other and hugged. They both were tightly hugging each other. None was ready to break the hug. After a while when haseena tried to break the hug but anu hugged her even tighter. And started

Anu - tumhe pata hai ek baar ke liye mai bhaut dar gaya tha. I was scared ki tum uss par believe kar logi. But thank god tumne nahi kiya and you supported me. Thanks a ton haseena.

After few minutes they broke the hug haseena's hands move from his back. Her one hand move to his neck holding it while the other holding his cheek anu was shocked but didn't let it come on his face. He too rested both of his hands on her cheek cupping her face. Haseena stood on her toes and angled her face to the left while anu angled his face to the right. They were an inch apart when haseena's phone rang. They both got disturbed and left each other. Haseena took her phone and went inside the washroom while here anu was standing smilingly ruffling his hairs from the back.

Here anu was thinking - yeh mai kya karne jaa raha tha. I know I love her but uski taraf se kya hai mujhe nahi pata. I wish maine uss din karu aur vyom ki baat maanke usse propose kar diya hota. But never mind mai jaldi hi kar dunga. Aaj jo tumne mere liye stand liya hai uski mujhe kitni khushi hai mai tumhe bayaan nahi kar sakta haseena. I'll propose you very soon.

His thoughts were interrupted when the maid knocked his room door and said that he was called downstairs. He changed and left from the room. Here haseena came out and she didn't find anu in the room. She sat at the bed and started reading her novel.

After a while anu entered. He looked at haseena and passed a smile to her. She too did the same. Anu went to the bed and took his pillow and blanket and was about to go when he heard

Haseena- mujhe koi problem nahi hai aap bhi bed par so sakte hai hum dono bed share kar sakte hai

Anu- are you sure? You comfortable?

Haseena- haa 'cause I trust you

She said looking directly into his eyes. He smiled.

Haseena- left waala mera aap apna dekh lo

Anu- bed ke bhaut saare sides hai kya aap apna dekh lo bol rahi ho mujhe tum left waala logi toh mujhe right waala hi lena padega na.

Haseena- thik hai thik hai. Mai yaha par pillows ka border bana de rahi hu. Don't cross it. You get that.

Anu- I got that. Ek sawaal ka tum jawaab do ki tumhe neend mei haath pair maarne ki aadat toh nahi hai na

Haseena (teasingly) - vaise toh nahi hai but hogi bhi toh kya hua apni patni ki maar nahi kha sakte aap neend mein

Anu (irritated) - toh patni bhi toh uss laayak honi chahiye. Ab sone do mujhe. I'm feeling sleepy. Good night.

Haseena- haa toh thik hai na sojao. Maine thodi na mana kiya hai. Good night have some horror dreams.

Anu- mujhe tumhare sapne nahi dekhne.

Haseena frowned and started hitting him with the pillows after the pillow fight both slept facing each the other side.
