As you followed Jason back towards the area outside of the sound stage that had been set up to hold the talent trailers, you glanced back down at your phone again to read through Yoongi's last message. You knew you would hold that to your heart for a long time yet but right now it made all sorts of feelings go off like fireworks inside you.

As you walked, you decided to set an alarm for 11am CST in the hopes that someone would be at the HYBE-LA offices by then. You needed to help figure out what had happened with the temp agency setup. Your thoughts moved back to Yoongi's previous statement that he was here for six months. Surely that means he has more than one backpack and one suitcase? Didn't he say he brought his keyboard? That would not have fit in either of those things.

Jason stopped talking on the walkie and looked back to notice you were following him. He paused to wait for you to catch up, then started walking again.

"(Y/N), are you really Mr. Min's assistant now? Who did I meet this morning?" Jason asked in a much calmer tone of voice than what he had previously held in your conversations.

You began to explain how Yoongi's agency had apparently set him up with a temporary assistant this morning and how no one had seen anything from her, or any of Mr. Min's personal belongings, after that. How you had seen Yoongi standing by himself and struck up a conversation in Korean and things had progressed to him asking if you would be his assistant. Yoongi had mentioned briefly that the other assistant didn't seem to speak any Korean at all and that gave you a mental pause.

"Jason did you meet this assistant before this morning? Someone gave her the keys to the trailer" you asked as you struggled to keep pace with Jason. His anger seemed to be driving him to power walk towards the back lot and his stride was already a lot longer than your 5'6" legs could keep up with.

Jason looked back and realized you were falling behind. He made a face and slowed down a bit before responding.

"She had the credentials, so Kyle must have given her the keys. I don't know when that happened. This morning when Mr. Min arrived on set, he was carrying his own luggage which I thought was weird but," and here he glanced at you before continuing, "you know some Talent is weird about their stuff. So, I figured it was ok that he was hauling his own shit. I started to go into the spiel about the talent area, the trailers and check his diet restrictions so I could get with craft services, but the assistant told me she'd take care of it."

Jason paused his steps for a moment and grabbed your shoulders to make you face him as he continued.

"(Y/N), you know what day one on set looks like after helping Derek so often. You know how crazy my schedule is. When the assistant said she'd take care of it, I agreed. I stayed long enough to greet him and then left him in his assistant's hands. Even Kyle let the assistant do his part!" Jason was starting to turn red, but you could not figure out if it was cold, anger or embarrassment. You decided it was a combination of all three as you realized Jason must have hurried through Yoongi's meet and greet to do other things.

You stared at Jason for a moment before responding. "Jason, do you have Yoongi's M&G sheet? I'll need to know his call list and what not."

Jason looked abashed and you decided the red was all embarrassment now. He dug into the messenger bag that wouldn't leave his hip for the entirety of this production and pulled out a file folder.

"I will give you what I have and figure out if we can dupe what was in the original packet sent to the other assistant (Y/N)." He handed you a small packet of paper and you started to glance down, and something caught your attention.

"Jason, what the hell is this? The very first thing it says is he's a Japanese actor? That's not right at all."

Jason looked down at you and came to a dead stop. "I thought it was bizarre when he said this morning, he wasn't Japanese, but then the two of you started to speak it so I figured he was just making fun of me. (Y/N), do you really mean he's not Japanese at all? That's how I greeted him this morning!"

Jason looked horrified and you realized this was yet another moment where his job was in balance. He had not only ditched a talent on their first day to an apparent phony assistant but had basically done his entire meet and greet wrong. You decided to take pity on him.

"Jason if the M&G packet is wrong, how would you have known? Wasn't this sent to you by his agency anyway?" This was just all sorts of messed up. You were starting to think this wasn't really an issue with the Chicago temp agency after all. Something was definitely funky at HYBE-LA if they were treating Min Yoongi this way.

Jason nodded his head and started walking again. Then slowed to a stop before turning to you again. "(Y/N) I want to apologize for what I said before. I thought you were trying to one up me with the talent, but you don't give two shits about that do you? You have your own job to go back to after you do this movie, and I assume you're only doing this to help out Derek?"

You nodded and Jason continued. "Then I'll apologize again: Once for what I said which was way out of line, and once for how I was acting. This production has already got me on edge, and it's only been 5 hours for me onset," he said as he glanced at his watch and started walking again.

"Jason, I understand you're under a lot of pressure, but I just want to confirm, you don't...," and here you paused not sure how to broach the subject of his bizarre rant. "You don't think we were or are 'together' do you? I'm sorry if you felt that way or if I gave you any signal in that direction. You're a really nice person, but I just never felt that connection with you." You duck your head a bit and keep walking not sure if you want to experience the next part of the conversation. It needed to be said but you HATED this kind of confrontation.

Jason reached out a hand towards you to stop your walk.

"No (Y/N) I know that. When I saw you and Mr. Min standing together more comfortably than you ever stood with me, I was jealous. But I was also jealous that you were handling the talent better and part of me was sure you were after my job on this production."

You reflected a moment on what Jason had said and decided that your anxiety could not handle further discussion on this. You nodded at what he had said.

"Thank you for saying that Jason, I appreciate it. I will be very glad to get out of the small piece of Hollywood that Derek always brings me into," you say smiling before starting to walk again. You decide to gloss over the rest of what Jason said in the interest of moving on and that professionalism you promised Derek. Thankfully, Jason seemed to get the hint and started walking as well.
