Well he wasn't kidding. When an idol wants things to move, they do. And when he wants them to move faster, everything looks like a starfield when you just went into hyperspace...All streaky and starry.

Five days later you were standing in your new penthouse apartment with your...Yoongi. You weren't sure if he fit the title of boyfriend, but roommate was definitely the wrong word.

On your final tour of the apartment, Yoongi had leaned over and mentioned that there were flat surfaces to be found in every single room in the penthouse. At the time you had rolled your eyes and tried to get him to behave, but the second the movers and the realtor had left, and you finally had the apartment to yourselves, he gave you your own tour around the apartment. You could now attest to there being a flat surface in every room in the apartment. The rugburn on your knees and ass, and the outline of your ass on the kitchen cupboards attested to that the next morning. Your blush had been astronomical, but Yoongi had laughed and taken a picture of the cupboard.

"Next time it can be my ass print and you'll get your own picture Babygirl," said a smirking Yoongi when you got out the cleaning stuff to wipe down the cupboard. Which just made Yoongi laugh even harder when he saw what you were doing.

Katia had been right, Yoongi had been shocked at the size of your library in your storage unit but had insisted it all be moved into the penthouse. Some of your books you hadn't seen since you'd packed them up in your house before you moved, and it was sentimental to unpack them into your new office. Yoongi poked his head in every so often and just smiled as he watched you. The last time he'd brought a box of Kleenex with him and sat down on the floor with you. You'd crawled into his lap and just sat there surrounded by your books and the memories of your parents for a while.

Yoongi's studio came together piece by piece, literally as you had to wait for a company to lay in heavy soundproofing, and then Yoongi's equipment started showing up. Monitors of every size, speaker towers and multiple desks to set the keyboard just right. You had helped Yoongi with the measurements and had found better monitor stands so he could have the cockpit set up he worked best with, then crawled under his desk to do cable management while he passed you the Velcro tie backs. It made you feel like you were helping him, and he said it worked better for him, so you were happy to contribute where you could.

By the start of the second week in the new apartment, the number of people coming into the penthouse finally slowed down and there were days when you and Yoongi didn't leave the penthouse. Or even your offices.

You learned that what he'd said before was right, when he was working on something he tended to work on it until he either got it or he broke it and had to walk away. You'd learned the difference in his moods between the two and figured out how and when to interrupt with food, or kisses, or sympathy or just a listening ear when he was excited.

In the same way, you'd started your next major project at work, of course scheduled to kick off in the middle of your move. You thought it amused Yoongi when he's stop by your office and lean in the doorway to listen to you on Zoom talk about your engineering project. He admitted that his English wasn't strong enough to catch all your words and you agreed that not all the words would translate nicely to Korean.

Your own Korean was slowly improving, at least Yoongi said so. Your ear was still slow when he got on his calls on Saturday night, but you were delighted the first time you caught an entire sentence from Jimin and translated it almost in real time. You convinced Yoongi to help and the majority of your conversations were now in Korean, albeit extra slow, with the occasional pause while you looked up a word.

You spent some time talking with Miso Jeon out in Los Angeles but she was still working the Eun-Jin thing.

"It's weird, it was seemingly both a malicious and unintentional act all at once?" Miso was explaining her latest find about the messed-up contracts to you. "I still don't think this was a sasaeng attack but surely no one in the world is as incompetent as this girl was, "said Miso.

You'd spent the last week trying to field the questions between HYBE-LA and Yoongi about how the contract had come together last year before finally telling Yoongi, you thought this would go faster if he would be willing to introduce you to Sung-Jin.

He had smacked his forehead.

"Aish, nae, I should have done that before. Technically he's helping KAPPA now you know," he said, and you reminded him of what you'd said before.

"And so, Sung-Jin deserves a nice bonus for helping us out when he's supposed to be working other tasks? Right Yoongi?" And Yoongi smiled a bit before agreeing to make the call.

So that next morning you had been introduced to Sung-Jin through a video call on Yoongi's phone. You were happy you'd been working on your Korean, since Sung-Jin's English was about where your Korean had been before you started practicing again. Sung-Jin looked thrilled that you had agreed to help Yoongi's email and agreed to send you the links to the documents that he had initially received from Eun-Jin at HYBE-LA so you could review them and add them to Miso's reading list.

After that you and Sung-Jin tried to connect at least once a day about Yoongi's schedule and such. Which definitely helped your Korean practice and you thought it was going more smoothly by the day. Which was good because, RM was feeding Sung-Jin info about the BTS comeback when he could and sending other stuff to the emails for Yoongi to read and deal with, so you collaborated with Sung-Jin so that Yoongi wouldn't be ambushed when he got back to Korea.

You had some mixed feelings about doing things to prepare for Yoongi going home, but you also recognized reality. It did get to the point where if you had worked too much on the BTS comeback ideas, you would simply go find Yoongi wherever he was and snuggle into him.

The wonderful thing about Yoongi was he simply accepted that part of you needed that from him. And to be honest you thought he was avoiding that discussion about the future as hard as you were, for there were some nights when he simply picked you up from your office and dragged you off to that massive king-sized bed he'd wanted. You realized that this wasn't healthy behavior for either of you, but the few times either of you started the future, you both suddenly had other topics to talk about.
