A very intriguing predicament // Boku No Hero Academia

Chapter 27

My eyes zeroed in on the three lights on the Entrance as they went from lit up to powering off one by one with a loud DING with each light.

Slightly bending my knees I readied myself to use these stronger legs to leap.

" START!! "

I didn't immediately start running, the ground slightly shook with how many students quickly ran for the starting gate. Scanning over some of the students, I nodded to myself and like a compressed spring that is quickly let go, leaping into the air I felt the wind whip through my hair and my new pair of ears.

There's no way that I can push my way through the crowd and get through the starting gate, plus I don't want to get my feet frozen by Todoroki so I can't be on the ground. So as I began to descend after my great leap over quite a few rows of struggling students I slightly bent my knees to brace for my landing.

Landing on a random students shoulder before leaping over to the next shoulder and the next. Essentially, I'm using the shoulders of my fellow students as stepping stones in order to get through the starting gate.

And when I felt the slight drop in temperature, I couldn't help but grin as I saw students struggle to free their feet which Todoroki had frozen to the ground while he ran ahead of everyone else.

" Yowch!! I'm all frozen!! Can't move!! "

" So cold!! "

" That bastard!! "

I couldn't help but lightly chuckle at the complaints from getting frozen by Todoroki, but I kept my eyes focused on his two toned hair as I leapt off of the last shoulder in the front row of the starting gate.

" MUMMY-MAN!! ARE YOU READY FOR OUR LIVE COVERAGE AND COMMENTARY?! " Yamada spoke on the speakers, referring to Aizawa who was beside him in the booth.

" Not voluntarily... " Aizawa responded back to Yamada which made me snort a littat their interaction.

So while everyone in our class broke free from Todoroki's ice, and some other students,  I decided to switch from using Rabbit and to Explosion.

With a few loud booms, not only was Bakugo flying through the air, propelled by the force of the explosions coming from his palms, but so was I in an effort to avoid being frozen to the ground by Todoroki.

" I ain't letting you get ahead that easy, Half 'n' Half! " Bakugo loudly shouted, his teeth bared as he was clearly pissed off yet again.

As I quickly scanned at my surroundings from my height, I saw Shinso as he was being held up by a dozen students, I'm guessing that he brainwashed in order to avoid being frozen, and was looking at Todoroki.

" I expected it from our class, but... more made it past than I thought would... " I heard Todoroki speak to himself while he turned to look back at us for a moment.

Then when a crazed looking Mineta leapt through the area, his eyes trained  on Todoroki while reaching to pull a ball from his head while shouting out, " Good thinking, staying two steps behind Todoroki. Now it's my turn! How about a taste of my killer- ".

However, Mineta was cut off when he was suddenly slammed against the front of a robotic fist from his left side. I couldn't stop myself from bursting out in a loud cackle as Mineta rolled through the air and skidded along the ground.

" Mineta!! " Sero shouted out.

" Multiple targets acquired...! " The Robot spoke while looking at the lot of us.

" EVERY OBSTACLE COURSE NEEDS OBSTACLES!! STARING WITH... THE FIRST BARRIER. ROBO INFERNO!! " Yamada announced as one of the larger Robots loomed over Todoroki who had slid to a halt at the sight of the ginormous Robots.
