"Have you actually thought about names for our little man?" asked Damian as we sat together in my bed enjoying the Chinese food we had ordered.

"Well, I have a few names in mind that I like. What about you?" I replied, looking at him.

"Yeah, I've been thinking about that too. I like Timothy. Or maybe Alexander." he said.

"Isn't that too ordinary? I mean, aren't there lots of kids with those names? What do you think of Henry?" I replied as I poked at my noodles.

"I don't know... How about Bruce?" asked Damian as he thought about it.

"Bruce? Why Bruce of all names? Too old-fashioned. Sounds like an 80 year old." I chuckled.

"Because of Bruce Lee, of course." he replied, sounding a little offended.

"Oh, sorry but that's a no from me. How do you like Noah?" I wanted to know.

"Sounds boring, if I'm being honest. Marvin, sounds good to me." he said.

"That name already exists in my family. Too bad, I like it a lot. Come on. We will come up with a nice, not too boring name for the little guy, won't we?" I replied.

"I never thought it would be this hard. But there are so many names that are out of the question for one reason or another." he then said.

"I know! It has to be a name that fits a child, but the name still has to sound good as an adult. I don't know how others do it." I whined a little.

"We still have time. But it's good that we talked about it. I mean, finding a suitable name is not so easy. And it is such an important decision! Our boy will walk around with this name all his life. So it's important that we both like the name," Damian said as he laid a warm hand on my belly and then felt the baby move inside me.

"That's true. I' ll tell you what. We'll both write down all the names we like and then we'll talk about them again to narrow down the choices. And then if we still can't agree, we'll wait until we see him. That'll make it easier," I suggested as I put my hand on Damian's.

"That sounds like a plan. I hope he takes a little more time. With our luck, he'll be coming on the day of the Rumble." he replied with a laugh.

"It could happen, but I don't think he will. He'll probably make us wait." I said.

"The due date is February 10th, right? I bet he comes on Valentine's Day!" said Damian after thinking for a moment.

"It wouldn't surprise me. I'm so curious what he looks like." I said quietly, smiling and looking at the area of my bump where I could clearly see the baby moving.

For me it was still a very strange feeling. But it was still one of the most beautiful feelings in the world. A new little human being was growing inside me. As unexpected as it was, it was worth it all.
