*Camilo*

Y/N's father's question hung in the air, and everyone turned to look at me, following his gaze.

"I - I - what are you looking at me for?" I asked, suddenly furious. "I've been locked up for 24 hours, she's obviously not with me!" I pushed to the front of the family. "Where is she?" I demanded, transforming into someone large and tall and pushing him back. "What did you do to her?"

Y/N's father stumbled back from my push. I was at least a head taller than him now, younger and stronger. Yet, he persisted. "I know she's here!" he hissed. "Where else would she be?"

"Camilo, step back now," I heard my Abuela say firmly. "Senor Garcia, I can see you are very upset, can we please sit down and talk about this?"

"We aren't letting this guy sit in our living room after what he did!" I yelled, shifting back into myself.

"You will settle yourself immediately or I will have Luisa remove you," Abuela hissed at me. "Do not forget what I said. One toe out of line!"

Immediately, I felt Isabella, Dolores and Luisa all grab my arms, assuming I wouldn't listen. Fuming, I let them pull me back slightly and shut up. I wouldn't make the same mistake again. But rage tore through me at the sight of him settling himself with my grandmother and the rest of the adults on the couch. My father and Aunt Julieta looked disconcerted, frowning and sitting further away, eyes flicking between me and him.

"Please, tell us what happened," Abuela asked him. "Y/N is missing?"

The rage Y/N's father had entered with seemed to be draining out of him. He held his face in his hands before answering, and then looked up, distraught. "I woke up in the night and went to look in on her, and she was gone. The window was open, her clothes gone. I know she was coming here. I just want her back."

"Senor, I can assure you, she is not here," Abuela said. "Camilo was punished for his behaviour last night - it is as he said, he has been locked in his room all day. There is simply no way that Y/N made it into the room with him to hide. I would not allow this, you must know."

"Where would she go, if not to him?" he said, looking over towards me. "They are practically inseparable. If she isn't here, he must know where she is."

"I don't!" I said loudly, as everyone once again turned to look at me. "How could I have talked to her when I haven't been with anyone all day? She obviously ran away because of what you did to her!"

"I didn't do anything to my daughter!" Y/N's father stood up, the anger returning to his face, his fists clenched.

"Forgive Camilo," Abuela said, shooting me a deathly glare, "he is still very riled up about last night. He cares for your daughter, I am sure he is just scared because, as he said, we have not seen her. There is no way he talked to her today to find out where she might be going. We need to immediately arrange a search party for her. I promise you, I will use the whole weight of my family and the town's resources to bring your daughter back to you," she said, holding his arm, pulling him to sit back down.

Y/N's father allowed himself to be pulled down, still glaring at me.

"Breathe," I heard Dolores whisper in my ear. I had been grasping her arm tightly without realizing it. But I couldn't breathe. What had happened? Where had she gone? If she hadn't tried to come to me, where on earth could she be going? Did she think it wouldn't be safe here, that my Abuela would take her back? Anger burned so intensely I thought I might black out. She wasn't safe, she wasn't home, she wasn't with me...
