'It doesn't matter what route you take
Sooner or later the hearts going to break
No rhyme or reason, no master plan
No Nirvana, no promised land

I keep on searching for immortality
She's so beautiful but she's going to die some day
Everything in life just passes away
You know she's only queen for a day
It doesn't matter to which God you pray
Precious time is slipping away...

Well this world is cruel with its twists and its turns
But the fire's still in me and the passion it burns
I love her madly 'til the day I die
'Til hell freezes over and the rivers run dry'

CW: underage drinking and references to sex, binge drinking/ teenage alcoholism,
also brief discussions of death, namely the transference of energy, a more 'human approach' to the theology of Horcruxes.

Harry, to begin with, wasn't his sister. That seemed obvious enough to say, and he often struggled to articulate what he meant by it, but aside from their physical likeness — far and in between though that may be — their interests had grown rather incongruous over the years.

In the present, however, Harry felt closer to her way of thinking than ever before. Getting drunk wasn't so much a spiritual experience for him as it had become for Hera in more recent months...
Could it be he was attracted to chaos? He knew he was drinking in a way that wasn't good for him but did it anyway, and surely that said enough.

"Your music's shite!"
Harry slurred to Seamus across him, head propped against the cold of the windowsill.

"Just 'cause it's not U2— "

Harry made to move forward, his head rolling around just enough for it to be written off as him swaying to the music.
"What's wrong with U2?" He mouthed, voice an octave or so higher than usual and pink in the face.

"What isn't? And that Bono's a pox, "

Harry lightheartedly held out his hand as if to push Seamus away, the blaring music growing louder if even possible.

Just a few feet away from him, Parvati too had propped herself against the wall — though hers being the one behind the drinks table. She was garnering quite a bit of attention, which wasn't all that unusual considering she was one of the prettiest girls in their year, but this time she seemed rather out of it. Almost more than him.
