'I tell you everything
And I hope that you won't tell on me
And I'd give you anything
And I know that you won't tell on me
I've got a blister from
touching everyone I see
The abyss opens up,
it steals everything from me'

The weeks had seemingly flown by, and tomorrow it would already be Halloween. As each day passed, Hera's friends grew steadily concerned for her well-being; her mood had decreased to such despondency she found she did not want to leave her bed or even shower. She felt helpless like she had lost all control over her emotions, and with the upcoming prospect, it only got worse.

Desperately, Hera tried to distract herself, but when the things she had used to rid the pain were now off the table, she would only become reminded of things she'd rather forget.
Her brain had been reduced to a series of violent outbursts or pessimistic ramblings, and her diary had seen out every change she went through to extreme detail.

What had previously been a book filled with beautiful inked words and small photographs or other memorabilia to accompany her memories were now monopolised by thick, black letters where she wrote every excruciating thought that passed.

It was a Saturday morning in the great hall of Hogwarts.

Hera sat next to — or rather, on top of Cedric, who bounced her on his knee while playing with her hair.

"First Hogsmeade day tomorrow... " Cedric said, his fingers gripping tighter onto her hips.

"Mhm, " Hera sighed, leaning forward to grab herself a Pain au Chocolat and taking a small bite out of the warm pastry.

His face lit up with excitement as he pulled his lips into a small smirk, "You're coming with me. "

"I am? That's presumptuous of you. " Hera laughed, looking back at him while shifting in his lap.

"If you don't want to go, I can always ask Chang over there... " Cedric said, pointing subtly to a pretty Ravenclaw girl in the year below them.
She had dark, shiny hair that she wore tied in a ponytail at the back of her head and a rounded nose with freckles.
