Soft tears after a great storm
Years of pain and wonder if there's more
Tears fall from my eyes
I look at the trees as I cry
Rain drops falling from each leaf
Those are tears too as I believe
We're both in pain, aren't we?
Speaking through the soft cool breeze
I understand it very well
I'm not alone as I can tell
The trees go through storms too
As we wonder if there's anything new.
