I've walked in the dark, for years have come
So many things speak in whispers
Even in laughter, there's a sadness
A sadness that lingers, it lives in my soul
Then you spoke some words
Ones that slowly opened my heart
For the first time in years
I finally see nothing but light
It feels warm here, inside
I'm brought back to when I was young
A smile appears on my face
One that's not being worn, yet shown
For once my heart beats
I see beauty around me
My soul is no longer a burden
I finally feel true happiness
