Footsteps have taken me too far
To a place that is unknown
Where is the warmth that I felt
When I was safe in your arms?
I've wandered too far away
I tried to give myself some space
Only to get lost in the trees
Where I am found to be homesick
Where is the place that I used to live?
A soul who can make me smile?
Why didn't they wait for me?
This walk wasn't supposed to go this far
Is it my fault this has occurred?
Maybe it still exists in the hills?
Or did it burn down with that candle?
I'm no longer sure where home is
