My brain wants to stay friends
My heart wants something more
I have to let my brain win
It has been a brutal war
It's hard for sure
I loved you and you didn't love me
But we're still friends
And that's all we'll ever be
I will always feel the same way
Every time I look in your eyes
Happiness and comfort
Those feelings forever hidden inside
It's time for me to move on
I'm glad you're still in my life
We are just friends, nothing more
And that's how we will die
But I'll forever love you
That will never change
And moving on from this will hurt
But I will be okay
