"Hey, you're back!" Andy whipped her head around as she spotted the two women walking back into Maddie's hospital room.

Maya nodded and smiled, "Yeah, well, we couldn't be away from our girl for too long," she told her best friend and moved to sit down on the vacant chair.

Maddie couldn't help but notice that her mama was standing still with a distant look in her eye.

"Mama," Maddie paused to gain the attention of the older women. "I'm sorry if I upset you," she added.

Carina looked at her daughter and gave her a warm smile. "Piccola, you didn't upset me. It was just a shock to hear," she told her softly.

Andy stood up from the chair. "Carina come take my seat. I'll leave the three of you to it, I'll go give the team an update," she told both of the women.

"Thanks, Andy," Maya agreed as she gave her best friend a smile.

"Grazie," Carina said appreciatively.

"I'm sorry," The blonde teenager repeated again while she looked at both of the women. "You guys really aren't mad?" she asked to be sure.

Maya shook her head briefly, "No kiddo. We're not mad," she told her daughter.

"Are you sure?" Maddie eyed both women to make sure that they were serious. "I'm sorry that I did that," she apologised quickly again.

"Stop apologising Bambina. You're safe now, that's all that matters." Carina said as she moved to take hold of her daughter's hand.

"Just don't make it a habit of running into any fires," Maya teased her daughter with a smile.

"I can't make any promises." Maddie couldn't help but smirk.

Carina tutted lightly and shook her head slightly, giving the teenager a disapproving look. "That's not funny, Bambina." She said.

"Hey, room for more visitors?" Travis questioned, poking his head around the door as he was accompanied by the whole team.

"We wanted to see Maddie now that she was awake," Jack interjected as he tried to push his way inside the room to see the teenage blonde. "Mad-Dog!" He exclaimed.

"Hi, Uncle Jack! Hi, Uncle Trav!" Maddie exclaimed enthusiastically from the bed.

Ben held his hands up in defence. "I told them that they should wait, but well, there all impatient." He said amused.

Maya couldn't help but laugh in amusement and wave her hand in a motion for the team to head in. "Hey guys. Of course, come in, come in," she said.

Vic grinned as she spotted the teenager in the bed awake now compared to when she saw her before, "Hey, mini Bishop!" she exclaimed.

"I haven't heard that one in a while," Maddie said as she let out a small giggle. "Although it's DeLuca-Bishop now auntie Vic," she added as she playfully rolled her eyes.

"Oh right! Sorry squirt, my bad!" Vic chuckled.

The whole team gathered around the bed, happy to see that the teenage girl was now awake.

"How do you feel?" Dean questioned.

"Well, I feel like complete crap and it doesn't help that I can't remember much at all," Maddie told them all.

"Yeah, well, that's what happens when you run into a fire without any protection," Ben said as he chuckled lightly. "Again," He added as the teenager gave him a sheepish look.

"We're glad to see that you're awake though!" Travis interjected.

"My head really hurts," Maddie pouted.
