You jolt awake at the sound of birds chirping. Unfamiliar surroundings confuse your senses for a brief moment until the memories of last night return. Having only brought the essentials, you traveled in the dead of night and settled into a guest room. No one spotted your arrival, but you are sure they will be informed of it soon.
Your eyes begin to map out the room which is somewhat spacious and possesses a large closet. Nothing else occupies the area except your bag; the place is as bare as can be.
Wanting to get on with the day, you ruminate on what to do first. Although most of your belongings still reside at your apartment, you decide on your first task: working at the flower shop. Today is your turn to open the business and you mustn't inconvenience their operations.
Before you can act, there is a knock on the door. "Yes?"
It slides open and you spot a familiar man. "Good morning, Lady Umemoto," he says with a bow. You finally have the chance to fully inspect the man from last time. He's deathly pale with white hair but carries an agreeable manner to how he speaks. "We met last time, but I would like to formally introduce myself. I am Toneri, an aide to the Clan Leader."
"[F.Name]." When you spot his odd look, you clarify, "I am no longer an Umemoto. You may use my name to address me."
His mouth opens for a moment before his proprietorship kicks in and hushes his first train of thought. "Yes, yes. Well, allow me to establish you properly into the estate. The Clan Leader appears to be impetuous whenever it comes to you, so I was not made aware of your arrival until earlier this morning."
"I am sure it must have come as a shock," you laugh.
"What a relief that you understand my plight," he hums. "I am currently getting a room ready for your delayed stay. If you need, I can assist you in retrieving the rest of your belongings after breakfast."
"Oh, it must wait until much later. I have a job at the flower shop nearby, and I am almost late for it. Can you direct me to a shower?" you ask.
"A job," his eyes widen. "But surely there is no need now that you will be cared for."
"Certainly... but these are people who have given me so much when I was in need. I cannot abandon them just because I now live in temporary comfort." You smile at his stunned expression. "To cast aside those who are my true allies will make me worse than my ex-husband."
Toneri returns to his proper form after recovering from the shock. "Quite right. I will show you to your exclusive bathroom."

As you walk home with Toneri at your side, you notice the lingering stares of the Uchiha's. Everyone knows who Toneri is so to see him guiding you to the estate with luggage on hand certainly stirs their curiosity. You're sure the gossip will churn at top speeds, but the concern lays forgotten below your own questions in regards to your living situation.
