Silver x Reader (High School)

Today was my first day at my new school. I had just moved to Möbius and I've already heard some strange things. However, my mother decided to ignore these rumors and move us here anyway.

It was currently raining outside so I was hoping to hitch a ride from my mother but she had told me she needed to leave for her new job. I sighed, knowing I'd be late for school and at the fact that the bus came 10 minutes ago. I grabbed my backpack off the counter and dashed to the door.

I was only 5 minutes into the walk and I was already soaked. It was pouring out! Cars were also constantly splashing me when they drove over the puddles. I started to pace even faster, just trying to be as early as possible for school.

About 30 minutes later, I finally arrived. When I entered, I did not get the greeting I expected. As I was walking to first period I saw kids snickering at my soaked figure. I even saw a group of girls whispering and giggling whilst pointing at me. I groaned, as I kept my eye contact on the floor and tried focusing on finding my class.

I was lost, that was for sure. I had nearly rounded the school 3 times and I still hadn't found my first period. The bell rang 10 minutes ago but I couldn't find the office. I was too afraid to ask any other students because they had all been laughing at me, that was until I saw a white hedgehog approach me.

"Need some help?" I turned around just to be facing a hedgehog with yellow eyes. He seemed nice and I immediately put my trust in him, hoping he wouldn't laugh at me.

"Yeah, actually...Do you know where Algebra 2 is?" The hedgehog looked me up and down and giggled. I rolled my eyes.

"I missed the bus..." I mumbled, assuming the hedgehog wanted the reason.

"Oh, ok. Here, you can have this." He took off the sweatshirt he had been wearing and handed it to me. I stared at him, shocked.

"What? It's fine, I don't want to burden you." The hedgehog still didn't move his hands as he opened his mouth again.

"I have another one. Besides, you need it more than I do." I hesitantly reached out for the sweatshirt and grabbed it.

"Thank you." I smiled and he returned a grin right back.

"No problem. Are you new? What's your name?" He asked, still grinning at me.

"Yeah, I just moved here. It's Y/N, what's yours?"

"Silver! It's nice to meet you!" Silver held out his hand for me to shake, which I did.

"You too. I'll be right back I just want to change into this..." I let go of his hand before walking away, that was when I realized I had no idea where the bathroom is. I turned around and stared at the hedgehog. He giggled at my cluelessness.

"Bathrooms on the second right down the hall." He pointed at the hall in front of me. I gave him a nod of approval before walking away.

The hoodie he gave me was grey, of course. I was actually quite surprised a total stranger would offer me his sweatshirt but I was glad there was at least one nice Mobian here. I confidently made my way back to Silver, wearing his comfy hoodie.

"We should probably get going to Algebra now." Silver smiled at the sight of me.

"Yeah..." I paused. "What were you doing out in the hallway anyway?" I had realized we were the only two students to be by the lockers, everyone else was in class.

"I was on my way back from the nurse. I was playing football with my friends before class in the rain and fell." Silver admitted, rubbing the back of his head. I chuckled in response.
