"Hey (Y/N)! My parents gave me permission to use the old Maple Dew Mines for the VSA Association!! We're starting tonight. Some friends already said yes. Isn't this exciting?! Finally a place to skate that isn't the skatepark." He told me, as I sat on my porch, looking at the roof blankly. "(Y/N)?! Are you listening?!!"
"I was. Don't worry." I smiled cheerfully, however; he didn't believe me.
"Really, what did I just say?!" The male questioned, placing his hands on his hips expectantly.
"That VSA is starting tonight at the abandoned mines." I stated back, continuing to smile in his direction. After a moment, he gave in and sat next to me, before releasing a loud sigh.
"You are such a hassle sometimes..." He huffed, taking a popsicle out of my mini-cooler, before plopping it in his mouth.
"Look who's talking." I retorted, continuing to lay there.
"(Y/N)?" He questioned, as I glanced over at him, "I want to have a beef. Just you and me. I think that would attract the skating life; you know?" He offered, as a large smile appeared on my features. I nodded in affirmation, before we went to the skatepark to just have some fun. The VSA... an association of skaters that my friend and I created so we could have a good time... To bad good intentions sour over time. The sound of my name coming from him played over and over again. To the point that I kept seeing his face.
"(Y/N)..." I turned to face a black void, seeing him in a hospital bed, covered in bandages and casts. His eyes were blank, and he was completely unmoving. He snapped his neck in my direction, making my subconscious form jump back, "... Look what you've done."
...
I woke up in a cold sweat. The urge to cry was my only solace, as I sat in bed, motionless. There was a moment of silence, before I decided to get some water from the kitchen. Walking down the stairs, the door suddenly knocked. I didn't do anything for a moment before another knock resonated off the wood. Looking through the peephole, Tadashi stood on the other side. I opened the door, staring up at him tiredly. "Tadashi? What are you doing here at..." Pulling out my phone, it read that it was three in the morning, "Three in the morning?"
"(Y/N), you need to stop whatever your doing." He stated, as I leaned on the door frame. I tried to process what he said the best I could.
"Stop what? Sleeping?" I sassed, rubbing my eyes.
"No, you need to stop playing hard to get with Master Ainosuke." Opening my eyes again, I stared into Tadashi's for a moment, before shutting the door softly. The last thing I needed was my brother to overhear the conversation, if he was even awake.
"But I thought you said it was working." I told, before the black-haired butler lightly shook his head.
"I did, but what he told me a couple hours ago changed my mind." He stated, as a small pink hue appeared on his cheeks. 'Could it have been that bad?' I questioned mentally, however; I would never know.
"What did he say?" The male gave me an 'are you serious' look, as I rubbed the bridge of my nose in annoyance. "Never mind, I don't want to know. But what do you want me to do? Be nice? Because last time I checked, that didn't work."
"You're right. I didn't work. You can't be rude, but you can't be kind either. And being somewhere in the middle didn't get you anywhere. I'm asking you, (Y/N), to be as bland and uninteresting as possible." He concluded, before my eyes widened slightly. Could I really be boring for such a dumb reason?
"Tadashi... I couldn't get him off my back by being disobedient... What makes you think being a piece of dry wall would work?" I questioned, as fatigue started to take over again. However, I opted to listen, knowing that this would get rid of Tadashi faster.
