"Okay so basically we just speak the lyrics to each other as if it was our daily conversation. Got it?" I ask as I gather my hair in a ponytail. "It's like a try not to laugh challenge."
He frowns at me, shaking his head.
"Oh come on." I press. "You got anything better to do then?"
"Yup."
"Keep it for later." I respond, "I'm in the mood for some talking right now and judging by how much I know you, whatever you got has nothing to do with talking, am I right?"
He narrows his eyes at me.
I slide my hands over Jake's shoulders, looking him in the eye.
"Hey girl," I grin up at him, "I can see your body moving."
A single eyebrow lifts on Jake's face. "That's some creepy ass shit you just said right now."
"Oh come on, it's a lyric from the song! Continue!"
He frowns at me despite the corners of his lips struggling to remain in a straight line.
"Your turn," I say, "Just go with it. Any line from the lyrics."
He continues frowning at me.
I thought he was finally going to tell me to shut up and throw me out the window while having his precious time pretending to be a statue and staring at his textbook.
Instead...he put his hand on his face, covering it while squeezing his eyes shut as if already regretting this.
"Oh, baby, when you talk like that."
A huge grin spreads on my face and I hold in a burst of laughter.
"You make a woman go mad." I continue.
"So be wise." He says.
"And keep on."
"Reading the signs of my body."
Jake removes his hand from his face, looking at me.
We both stare at each.
We burst out laughing.
Jake throws his head back as he laughs and while I'm outwardly in sync with his laughter, inwardly my chest is exploding into a million fireworks.
Oh my God! Jake is laughing!
