Warning: Mentions of Child Abuse, and Death

"Y/n, can I ask you a question?" David asked. You and David were holding hands as you two decide to walk through the forest. David just came back from his tour, and he decided to take a break for a month. "Shoot, ask me two." He chuckles as you giggle. "Very funny, my dear. But seriously." You two stop walking abruptly and he was holding your other hand. "What is it?"

"How come I never met your parents?" You felt your heart break a bit, and your body tense. You try to shrug it off as you laugh nervously. "We should go home, it's getting late. Don't you think?" You try walking away, but David holds himself. You look at him, your smile disappearing. "It seems you're hiding something from me. Please, Y/n, my love. Why can't I meet your parents?"

You sigh deeply and knew you had to tell him the truth. "Unless your parents aren't..." "Oh god, no. No, it's just that..." You look at away from him, having doubts to tell him. He cups both of your cheeks, making you look at him. "I ran away when I was fifteen. It all started when my little sister was hit by a car. She was six, I was twelve. After her death, my parents became distant from me, and every day they would be mean to me. They began to neglect me."

You took a deep breath and David stood quiet. Motioned you to continue. "They would called me names, mentioned my insecurities, they would say such things like "Look at you, you're getting big" or "You're so stupid, no wonder you can't get a simple A on a test" and all those kind of things. Because of that, I felt useless. I felt ugly, and fat. Yeah I'm a little big, it shouldn't matter. What matters is my personality, I know I'm a good person. I can never be mean to anyone else, especially those who are mean to me."

David pulls you for embrace and you hug him back. "And you're absolutely right. You are the most sweetheart I have ever met, and thank god I met you. Most important, thank god you are mine." He whispered. You couldn't help but smile as a small blush form on my cheeks. "You're such a darling, David. Many reasons why I love you." He grins and kisses your cheek. "One night, a week after my fifteen birthday, I grabbed some few things, sneaked out of my bedroom window, and left. I never looked back, and the money I had, I used it to moved away from that place. Honestly, I think I did the right choice."

David nodded with a smile. "Yes, you did. That's terrible what your parents did to you, and I'm so sorry about your little sister. I know your little sister was an angel, just like you. I'm glad you left there, or else I wouldn't never met my wife." You couldn't help but laugh at his last sentence. "Wife? David, we're not even marry." David grins and pulls out a box without you seeing. "That's true, well then. We should make it official."

He kneel down on one leg and reveal the beautiful diamond ring. You put a hand over your mouth, your eyes widen. "I love you to the moon and back. You're the bravest, most smartest, most gorgeous woman on this planet that I have ever seen and met. You make so happy and I can't imagine living a life without you. To me, that's no life. Y/n, my darling, my dove... Will you marry me?"
