"OBJECTION!"
"hold it!"
"take that!"
I let out a sigh as I left the Courtroom. I managed to get my client a not guilty verdict. It was real dicey for a second there. Prosucuter Gotdo sure dosen't mess around!
"not bad Wright"
Wait a second. I recognise that voice. Could it be...
"Edgeworth!" I ran up to him excitedly "where have you been? I haven't seen you in ages!"
"ah my apologies. I've been a bit preoccupied" he muttered "congratulations on your win by the way. I honestly don't know how you do it. You really have a talent for bluffing"
"hey don't say it like that" I whined. Why is he always so hard on me!?
"take it as a compliment. You're a lawyer after all" he smirked.
I felt my cheeks warm up. Why is his smirk so damn attractive? He always makes me feel so flustered when he looks at me like that.
"Mr Wright!" we turned around to see the bumbling detective dick gumshoe running up to us with his usual goofy smile "congratulations on your win pal! You sure showed that cyclops prosucuter who's boss!"
"thanks detective. I couldn't have done it without your help" I smiled at him.
"hey what about me nick. I helped too!" maya pouted.
"all you did was throw jabs at me" I rolled my eyes.
"na uh I was moral support and that's what's most important"
"whatever you say maya" I chuckled.
These are my friends. The four of us met under tragic circumstances and have bonding through those hard times. It's true that we've had our ups and downs but we've got through thick and thin together. I don't know what I'd do without their support.
"oh we should celebrate edgeworths return" maya said excitedly "let's have a party at the office nick"
"oh I don't know maya-"
"oh come on Wright. I've been dying to see this office of yours" Edgeworth smirked.
"sure sounds like fun" I said quickly. Damnit I can't say no to him!
"so it's only a good idea when Edgeworth suggests it. I see how it is" maya folded her arms.
I sighed. I feel like I'm in trouble even though she's getting her way. Why dose this always happen to me!
