Xiao and Y/n

Y/n pov:

The three of us hurried through the newly found caves and tried to find our way.

"N- th-s is... the ch-sm... wha- did... you go through here?"

My eyes widened and I halted to a stop.

"Xiao?!" I yelled, trying to hear his voice again.

"Bo- acius... died... ba-tle... hundre-... years ago... wh-t is he d-oing here..."

His voice echoes around in the caves and it almost caused me to loose my direction.

I looked around while taking turn after turn.

"Xiao!!" I yelled.

Aether and Yanfei followed behind me.

"He can't hear you, Y/n!" Yanfei yelled after me.
Hearing what Yanfei said honestly hurt me.

"T-e... is it him?"

Hearing his voice made me happy, but still hurt at the same time.

I calmed down and we walked towards the end of the cave.

"The voice is much clearer now, we're close." Yanfei said.

I could feel the hairs on my tail standing up at the voice we heard. Xiao sounded so confused.

Please be okay...

As we stopped walking, we looked ahead of us to find a blind way.

But then.

"It's a spacial rift!!" Aether yelled, happily.

A spatial rift had appeared before us.

It felt as if everything around me disappeared.
I was so happy.
I could feel it inside my whole body.

"Conqueror of Demons, can you hear me? It's Yanfei and the traveler, you wouldn't be able to guess who we found!" Yanfei said, calling out to him in a happy voice.

I waited for a little, I could feel my voice disappearing.
What would I say?

I heard him groan.
"Yanfei? Traveler?" Xiao said from the other side.

I felt so happy hearing his voice without it being messed up.

My lips were quivering and my hands were shaking.

My voice was gone and I wasn't able to say anything.

"Are you okay?" Aether asked.

I felt my legs shaking and my ear twitching, as I waited for him to tell me that he was okay, that he wasn't hurt, and that he was on his way here.

But he didn't answer the way I wanted him to.

He groaned in pain, which caused my ears to lower. I felt sick, How did he get hurt?

"I'm fine." He tried to reassure us.

I decided I wanted to speak to him now, as I was about to talk, Yanfei spoke before me. "Listen to me, it's chaotic in here! It means space and time are messed up. We're not in the same space, but sound can get through!" She said.
