Y/n pov:

24 hours had passed since we escaped The Chasm.

I told Xiao I wanted to meet as many people I could as fast as possible. But he wanted me to rest instead.

He took me to the Wangshu Inn.
Neither of us had been here in two years.
Verr Goldet was shocked to see us as well.

She gave us the usual room and told us the balcony was always empty and was ready to be occupied once again by us, almost every second.

At the moment, Xiao stood at the balcony while I was in the room.

Xiao really missed being at the Inn. He wouldn't say it, but it was the place he felt like home, for many years.

After we talked with Aether yesterday, we came straight to the Inn, however we didn't talk much and separated rather quickly so I could go to the room and him to the balcony.

I sighed and looked in the mirror.

My hanfu was loosened and pulled down to reveal my now naked back.

My back was facing the mirror and I could see the scar I had gained from The Chasm, or more specifically... Bosacius.

The scar wasn't big, but it was formed as lightning, and went from my shoulder, halfway down my back.

Personally it just looks like a big burn mark...

I sighed, still slightly ashamed.

"It looks bad." A voice said, causing me to jump.

I yelled a small scream, and pulled my hanfu up to cover me fully before quickly turning to look at the voice.

Xiao was leaning against the wall with crossed arms.

"You scared me..." I said, sighing again in relief that it was just him.

He walked over to me, "Sorry..." he said in a low voice.

"It's alright..." I said.

He then placed his hand at the hem of the hanfu near my neck, he then said, "Show me.".

"Eh?" I looked at him with a dumbfounded look.

He wrapped his fingers around the fabric and tugged slightly at it, "Show me the scar." He said.

I looked at him in surprise, is he dumb?
"Hehe, b-but then I would have to pull my hanfu down?" I said in one breath while slightly backing away from him. I was blushing a little.

He just walked towards me while I backed away, "What's the problem with that?" He just said.

I blushed even more as I hit the wall, right after, he slammed both of his hands on each side of the wall beside me, trapping me inside. He did it so quickly it caused me to jump slightly.
