"And----" I again ask but this time I sounded low and vulnerable.

"And there is nothing to tell more." He shrugged. I gulp pain in my heart.

'Is Neil really engaged to her?'

Maybe to expand his business, he might have accepted the alliance. But he is married to me. I need some time alone. I tried to get up from his lap but he didn't let me go.

"No." He said. My brows furrowed at his deadpanned word.

'What?' I questioned myself.

"This is the answer of the question, your mind is bugging you with." He sounded disappointed. At first, I didn't understand, what he meant but then I got him.

"Then feed me with everything. You already know, how much I overthink." I request him. He took a sigh before starting.

"Avni, there's really nothing to tell. I didn't sign any alliance with him. How could I? When I have a wife already and that's too, who loves me so much." To be honest, anyone will not believe if I'll go say that this business tycoon can talk this much sweetly.

I grinned the fullest but again my mood goes off.

"Then why she was claiming you as her fiance? I mean--"

"D'Souza is adamant to make this alliance with me because it will boost his company's share value to another level, after denying his offer also, his daughter kept bugging me."

"And you tolerated her." I muttered lowly pointing the last night incident that happened in his office. I might sound accusing, but I don't have my control over it.

"Avni, her grandfather was one of them who helped my grandfather during his lowest. I can't disrespect that man's favor and loyalty to my grandfather." I nodded my head in understanding.

"But still, she isn't allowed to touch my man or sit near him. Do you understand? I respect what Mr. D'Souza did for Dadu but that doesn't give her the right to behave that way with you." I compelled him.

"As you wish, her highness." I nodded as he agreed.

"So.." I tail to ask him to continue.

"Nothing. I mean Rafael D'Souza isn't aware of us, of course and precisely, he is nothing like his father; He's a greedy man, you can say that. So, I used to tolerate him because I respect Mr. D'Souza but Rafael crossed the line today."

"What do you mean?"

"It's Rafael D'Souza and his daughter behind today's abysmal move." He stated icily while gritting his teeth.

"But why?"

"He must have thought that I disrespected him in a way via not accepting his alliance and must have seen you as a threat. So, he played his card so that I would constrain to marry Nina but he didn't know by involving you in this game of business rivalry, he dug his own grave." His cold deep voice, make me gulp down my saliva.

I had never seen him like this. He isn't looking at my ways but to the large floor length glass window, precisely boring holes on it.

His eyes were determined; for what, I don't know but one thing is clear to me that whatever he is going to do will definitely create a havoc in D'Souza's life.

"But the news, Neil. It's everywhere and---"

"It's already cleared."

"What? The whole news, I mean Whole!?" I stressed into the word 'whole' because the news wasn't restricted to India only, as it involves The Neil khanna's name, it already had travelled to many countries. I mean the whole world almost.
