Chapter Five: New Recruits

Harley's POV

"So...enlisted again...even after enlisting earlier today" Abraham says as he looks at my file

"I know what my father said but I need to fight for my country...you have to understand where I'm coming from" I say desperately

"I understand where he's coming from...... but I understand that he's right in what he's saying...you won't be treated as an equal in the military" He says causing me to sigh and sulk in my chair

"So what happens now...your going to send me home" I say, Abraham sighs and looks at me

"Do you want your chance at being in the military Jr" He says and I nod rapidly, he smiles and puts his papers away before opening the curtains and walking out causing em to follow him

"Then you'll get it...along with Mr Rogers who you've now met" He says before stamping my form with a lA causing me to smile

He hands me it before walking off without another word, I look over to Steve and see him looking at his form

"Did you get in too" He asks causing me to smile

"We won't be sharing a jail cell after all" I say causing him to smile and hug me, we hug and walk out excitedly as people stare at us

Time skip

I stand next to Steve we wait for the General to come over

"Recruits, attention" We hear and I stand at attention with the rest of the men, I look over and see a beautiful women approaching us causing my eyes to widen

"Wow" I whisper to myself

"Gentlemen I am agent Carter, I supervise all the operations for this division" Agent Carter says as she faces us, I watch her as she walks in front of us

"What's with the accent queen Victoria, thought I was signing up for the US army" A soldier says

"What's your name solider" Agent Carter says causing the guy to smirk

"Gilmore your majesty" He says and I roll my eyes, already an asshole with no respect

"Step forward Gilmore" She says, the guy looks at us before looking to Agent Carter with a sly smile as he licks his lips

"Put your right foot forward" She says

"Ooo you a wrestler...cause I got a few moves I know you'll like" He says as other agents hand us papers, I get mine shoved in my chest as they pass but I ignore them and keep my eyes on Agent Carter

Suddenly she punches him causing him to fall to the ground, I smile as she adjusts her suit and stands back up and looks at that little man

"Agent Carter" We hear, Agent Carter turns around and faces who I assume is her boss as well

"Cornel Philips" She says standing at attention, he praises her on breaking in the candidates, I look to Steve before looking forward as and talking to us about war

"We are goin to win this war because we have the best...men" He says as he looks at Steve and I, he walks closer to me and I keep a straight face as he and I share intense eye contact

"You ready for war soldier" He says to me

"Yes sir" I say and he nods before continuing, even glancing at Steve who just stares ahead

They dismiss us and Steve and I unpack as we got to sleep next to each other, I put my wrap in the deep part of my drawer before putting my clothes and books away

I turn around to Steve who's looking at the other soldiers who are messing around, he turns to me and I smile to him and walk over to him

"We got this over these punks"  I say causing him to smile as we high five

Transition through time starts here

I climb the nets as fast as I can till I make it to the top before making it to the other side and climbing down, I smile to myself before looking forward and seeing Steve hanging by his foot

I go to the other side to help but one of the other soldiers pushes me away from him, I go to step to him but I see Cornel Philips glare at me causing me to stop

"Watch your back monkey" He says with a smirk before walking away and I watch him closely

I army crawl through the barbed wire with my gun in hand and make it out before all that other men, I smile and look at  Cornel Philips as well as Agent Carter

I wink at her causing her to give me a small smile, I turn back to see if Steve made it but I see him struggling as one of the soldiers kicks the barbed wire post over causing it to land on him

I go to help but I feel myself get pushed causing me to fall close to the barbed wire and I cut my face as I land near it, I look up to see the Gilmore guy smirk at me before walking off

I sigh as I see him look at me sadly as a solder goes to reprimand him and I

"It's ok Harley....he's a dick" Steve says causing me to laugh a little

I run as fast as I can and since I'm at the head of the pack and we stop  when we get to the flag pole

"See that flag up there soldiers, means we're only at the half way point and whoever gets the flag for me gets a ride back with Agent Carter...move move" The guard tells us, I  watch as the other run toward the pole all at once

I move through the crowd and start climbing it

"Move" one of thr guys says

"Get up there Creed go" The guard says as he throws a stone at me, I groan as it hits my side

I hear the other soldiers laugh and they start throwing rocks at me, I feel one hit face causing me to flinch and I lose my grip causing me to fall and land on my back and my face scraps the concrete

I go to get back up but I get thrown to the side as I hold my hand to my head, I move my move my hand and see a bit of blood causing me to look at the men angrily

"Fall in soldiers" The Guard says as he laugh at me, I get up as I check my head as best I can, I look over to see Steve looking at the pole

"Rogers, I said fall in" The guard yells, Steve ignores him and pulls the bolts out of the bottom suing the flag to fall

I smile as I watch him get the flag and he hands it to the guard and purposefully  bumping the shoulder of the guy who pushed me before sitting in the car, I watch Agent Carter look at Steve flirtatiously before they drive off causing me to feel a bit of a warm feeling in my stomach

I hope Steve doesn't like her

A/n ok yet another, haven't written for this story in so long and I'm on a role since I wanna get through Captain America already
