19TH OF DECEMBER: HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Christmas time

(the next couple of chapters, some smaller then normal, are all about the Christmas holidays)

"Come on Ali we'll miss the carriages then we'll miss the train" James said annoyed, he was waiting for Ali to get her cat Polo from under the couch, "Its your fault you made the firecracker go off, it scared the living daylights out of him". It took five minutes, several cat treats and Ali received several scratch marks aswell, they managed to catch the last carriage also occupied by Tyler Coote and Adi Patil. "There you are what happened?" Fred asked as they passed him on the train, "and whats with all the scratched?". Ali explained how James was being a complete twat and frightened the cat to death, they all pilled into a compartment and began talking about what they wanted for Christmas, and what pranks they had for next term, after being on the train for about 2 and a half hours there was an owl at the window, "Open the window Tyler" said James, Tyler did just that, he untied it and saw that it was addressed to Ali, "Its for you" he said handing it to her, Ali opened it and read

Hey hunni

I now its short notice, but your father has paperwork and won't get home till late but you know that anyway, but there's four sick aurors who got hurt in a raid so I need to stay at the hospital (if James is reading this reassure him his father was part of the raid but wasn't injured) meaning you're staying with the Potters tonight Harry and Ginny have already said yes in fact they offered, me or you're father will be picking you up in the morning.

"What does it say?" asked Adi, "turns out I'm not getting rid of James till tomorrow morning" she laughed, James turned his head at the mention of his name, "what's that?", "I'm staying at yours tonight, a load of aurors injured in a raid" James looked worried at these words, "don't worry you're dad wasn't hurt" she said noticing the worriedness in his eyes. By the time they pulled up at Platform 9 & 3/4 Tyler ad James were saying goodbye and Ali had her head on Adi's knee, who head was resting on her bag that was against the wall. "Aww cute, they look so peaceful" cooed Tyler, "they do don't they" said James looking at them, "FALALALALAFALA GET UP COME ON WERE AT THE PLATFORM" he yelled, Ali and Adi jumped up their wands pointing at James throat and forehead, "so help me Potter, one more time and tonight while your sleeping I will come into your room and pour spiders, slugs and cockroaches all over you and get your uncles camera and take photos of you screaming like a girl then put them up all over school" she threatened, James looked genuinely terrified, "ok, ok I'm sorry, now erm ... can we go to the platform where there's witnesses" he said.

"James, look mummy he's rite there with Ali!" said Lily jumping up and down with a huge grin on her face, as she ran up to her eldest brother and hugged him nearly turning him blue, "Lily!" he bellowed picking her up and spinning her around, "wheres Al?", "he's over there talking to his friend, Scorpius I think his name is". They walked back to their parents, who where now being approached by Albus, Scorpius and Draco Malfoy, "dad Scorpius' dad would like to ask you something" said Albus excitedly, Draco stood forward, Harry and Draco weren't enemies anymore but at the same time they weren't exactly "bff's" either, "Harry, as you probably already know our sons have become good friends, and Scorpius would very much like it if Al could stay at our house one night in the next two weeks?" he asked. Harry looked down at his son, "Sure, just owl me and we can discuss when ok,", once everyone had sorted themselves out they headed through the gateway into the muggle world. "So Ali how have they all been?" Ginny asked Ali as they were leaving Kings Cross station, James looked around, "you could just ask us yourself you know!", " I don't mean, how have you been I mean how many detentions have you gotten?", "wait a minute" James stopped dead, making Molly nearly fall over him, "did you get Ali to spy on us?" without saying anything else Ali and Ginny walked away giggling. "Where are we going now mum?" Rose asked her mum, "well we'll be taking back your trunks then going to the burrow" she said then she hugged her daughter for what seemed to be the 99th time, "aww hunny I've missed you so much, that reminds me on Christmas eve-eve we will be going to see Nana and Grandpa Granger". When they were across the road away from muggles, they apparated back to their homes.

Around five o'clock everyone was at the Burrow, talking about what had been happening at Hogwarts while the adults spoke about what had been happening at work (the kids nearly fell asleep when Mr Weasley, had gone on for ten minutes about a tea pot that hoped away and the amount of damage a simple tea pot could do). "What happened on that raid dad?" asked James over dinner (Mrs Weasley with help from Angelina had made a huge pork roast with all the trimmings), Harry looked up, "how did you know about that?", "its sort of my fault, well my mums really, she told me in the letter she sent that a load of aurors were injured in a raid", "well, it was just a basic raid, but well turns out they were making illegal dark objects to sell and we didn't anticipate there to be so many of them under the property" James nodded and dove back into his stuffing. "Merlin that was amazing gran" said Louis who was helping Fred, Albus and Molly tidy the table. After tidying up everyone went into the living room and sat around, Victoire pulled out an old Santa hat and put a load of pices of paper inside, before anyone could say anything Teddy came bursting inside, "I haven't missed anything have I? I'm not to late?" he puffed, everyone laughed, "no you're just in time" Victoire laughed, Teddy went and sat down crossed-legged next to her and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Ok so you're only aloud to pick one name and you cant tell the person who you've got that it them they've got, it's called Secrete Santa people not Tell-Anybody-You-Want- Santa." One by one the kids all took out a slip of paper and read the cousin they had chosen:

*Teddy was the Secrete Santa for Lucy *Victoire was the Secrete Santa for Hugo *Domonique had gotten Roxy *Louis was the Secrete Santa for Molly *Fred had gotten Dom *Roxy was the Secrete Santa for Fred

*Molly was the Secrete Santa for Rose *Lucy (with help from her parents) was the Secrete Santa for Albus *Rose had gotten Teddy *Hugo was the Secrete Santa for James

*James had gotten Lily *Albus was the Secrete Santa for Victoire and *Lily was the Secrete Santa for Louis
