Today was the day, as it was also Lydia's 18th birthday even though she will be stuck at 17 forever. Her and Damon are still very much together, they fought together, had arguments together however they still stood strong together.
Lydia's family is treating her better then they ever had before, almost like she's really apart of the family besides Elena of course. Lydia was getting her hair done by none other than Caroline and Makeup done by Bonnie the witch. She was already dressed in her strapless white floral wedding gown.

"You look so beautiful," Caroline gushed squealing.
"Wish I can see," Lydia said with her eyes closed as Bonnie was coloring her eyelids.
"Oh hush I'm almost done,"
"Hey Lydia," Caroline says bitting her lip. "Why did you and Damon wait for a whole year before you got married?"
"I was underaged and we just agreed to do it today on my 18th birthday that way he won't get nasty looks for marrying a minor,"
"Age is just a number,"
"Apparently not when you were 17,"
"And..... Finished," Bonnie said as Lydia opened her eyes and gasped.
Lydia could barley recognize herself she was wearing light minimal makeup with painted pink lips and light purple colored eyelids. Her eyelashes were popping out big in her complexion.

"B-Bonnie I look-"
"Beautiful? Yes you do! Caroline is almost done with your hair," she said as Lydia looked to see her hair out everywhere in the front and back as it was pinned up in a ball as Caroline placed the last pin in.

"Caroline-"
"Zip it you can thank me later don't need your makeup ruined by tears,"
"Right," she said with a nod. "Do you guys really think I'm ready for this?"
"That depends are you ready for Damon?" Bonnie asked raising her eyebrows.
"Yeah that cocky, sarcastic, blue eyed hot man of a beast," Caroline said causing Lydia to giggle.
Damon Salvatore was nervously waiting on his future bride to come out of the room. He was listening in to the conversation inside as he straightened out his black tuxedo. He got to where Caroline called him a hot man of a beast which made him grin very little. The people were chatting amongst each other it's practically a full house of Mystic falls minus Elena, no one wanted her around. Stefan was his best man.
"Well I love him, I will never unlove Damon Salvatore he's my world, my heart... My soul. Being away from Damon is like being away from a certain drug, you can't get enough of it, yes I am ready. I'm ready to marry the man of my dreams," he heard her say as a large smile came across his face as he wiggled his eyebrows at Stefan who was next to him who rolled his eyes.
The music started playing as everyone stood up as Damon's breath was taken from him. It felt like he couldn't breathe as he saw her come out of the room she was beautiful, and he simply couldn't take his eyes off of the woman he loves. It felt like time had slowed as she was walking down the isle with a banquet of flowers in her hands.
Damon's eyes soften as the two never took their eyes off each other.
"Lydia," Damon says breathless as she made it up to him.
He grabbed onto her hands as she smiled at her soon to be husband.
"How do I look?" She asked as he smiled.
"Like an angel," He said causing her to giggle. "I waited a whole year for this day, happy birthday my love,"
"Dearly beloved, we gather here today to celebrate Damon Salvatore and Lydia Gilbert as they come together to unite in holy matrimony. With feelings of elation and joy, we prepare to bear witness to this sacred ceremony," The compelled priest began.
"Before God, we recognize the special bond shared by these two wonderful individuals. Their adoration for one another is palpable, and is truly worthy of appreciation. We are particularly blessed to have friends and family in attendance today. Damon and Lydia would like to extend their thanks to all of you, for your presence makes this ceremony even more meaningful," he said pausing for a bit before continuing.
"And enjoy a firm foundation for their relationship, one built on trust, respect, and shared principles. With a deep mutual understanding, they come before us today ready to take oaths of marriage and dedicate their lives to one another. There truly is nothing so powerful as love. As the Bible reminds us in the Song of Solomon, Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot wash it away. If one were to give all the wealth of his house for love, it would be utterly scorned." As and prepare to make their sacred vows, we are grateful for the love felt in this space and the timeless memories being forged today, let us begin, as I now invite you to declare your vows or one another Damon you may begin,"
"I, Damon Salvatore take you, Lydia Gilbert , to be my lawfully wedded Wife from this day forth. I promise to be by your side for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health. My love and devotion are yours until the end of my days. I will forever be with you," he said without breaking eye contact with her.
" I, Lydia Gilbert, take you, Damon Salvatore , to be my lawfully wedded Husband from this day forth. I promise to be by your side for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health. My love and devotion are yours until the end of my days. I will forever be with you," she responded without breaking eye contact with him.
"please join hands. Under the eyes of God, Damon Salvatore do you take your lawfully wedded Wife? Do you promise to support her completely and love her unconditionally, so long as you both shall live?"
"I do," he responds grinning as he was about to marry his soulmate, his bond mate, and his blood mate.
As rare as it is to find all three, Damon couldn't be prouder to find his.
"Under the eyes of God, Lydia Gilbert do you take your lawfully wedded Husband? Do you promise to support him completely and love him unconditionally, so long as you both shall live?"
"I do," she immediately responds with no hesitation in her voice.
"By the power bestowed upon me, I now pronounce Husband and Wife, lawfully wedded today before God, you may now kiss the bride," he said as Damon took Lydia's face in his hands and smashed his lips on hers.
Cheers began ringing around the room as Damon couldn't believe he married his one true obly. No matter what happens he will always be there to protect her. Once they pulled away Stefan handed the rings as they each placed it on one another's fingers.
"Ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to present to you, for the first time, Mr. Salvatore and Mrs. Salvatore!" He announced as the two stood in front of the audience hands conjoined and raised in the air as clapping was heard around the room.
This is where he wanted to be. This is where he was meant to be. With Lydia Salvatore.
