oh how pathetic to think that you were fine.

that you were really fine.

that you were over him.

but just as your eyes meet his dark ones, all the feelings, all the emotions, all the memories from three years ago; they all came back.

they came back like a fucking boomerang.

and the words that he once said repeat in your head like an annoying song stuck in your head, once you can't get out how hard you try.

you inhale deeply and you straighten your back.

he doesn't fucking bother you.

but why is he here? why is he, of all places, here at the damn campus café? somewhere he isn't supposed to be because he should be a professional volleyball player.

don't tell me—

he didn't make it, did he?

ha, fucking loser.

you stare at him, taking in every feature of the guy that you once loved. liked.

as if you would ever love someone like him.

your eyes move over his face in shock. he has changed a lot, but at the same time he hasn't. he still has the same, cold expression on his face. his hair is exactly the same, and so are the features on his face. the only thing that's changed is his height as he's just a few inches taller, and the fact that his face has matured.

he looks exactly like you remembered him.

and even though you hate to admit it, the image of his face never left your brain.

he's still the damn same.

"get out of my way."

his words surprise you.

"what?"

"i said, get out of my way. do i have to repeat myself?"

you're taken aback by his voice.

fucking hell kageyama, if you weren't such a fucking asshole—

"i have no time for this bullshit, get out of my way."

"do you fucking hear yourself right now?" you spit at him, your voice showing anger.

kageyama looks at you with furrowed eyebrows, the same cold look still on his face.

he doesn't speak a word for a little while.

but then he speaks up.

"i said get out of my fucking way, l/n."

the way he says your name with such disgust, it hurts.

it fucking hurts, even though it shouldn't.

you thought you were over him, but you really aren't. you're still hurt by everything he did, by everything he said.

it was stupid to think that running away from your feelings and everything would really make you forget about everything.

it was so stupid to think that.

"what—"

"tobio," a soft voice says, making you move your head towards the side.

there you see a girl around your height. she has thick, strawberry blonde hair. her brown eyes look at the tall, dark haired male with care. she has round, curved eyebrows, and she has a nostril ring piercing.
