"Why did she beat you up so badly..?" The little girl asked in a concerned tone wrapping her friends bandages.

"I accidentally spilled water on her dress..she didn't like that.."

"That's all you did!? She's so dramatic.." the little girl frowned. And then kissed the bruise on his cheek and put a bandaid on it.

"I thought your mom told you not to come out here..?"

"Eh, but I wanted to see you again and you matter more."

"You'll get locked up in the closet again.." the boy looked at her worried,

Her mother was quite controlling from the things she told him.

She reminded him of a kind princess locked up by the evil witch

"I got over my claustrophobia, If anything it gives me a break from her mental breakdowns." She smiled reassuring him.

"But-"

"It's fine Levi." The little girl hugged him tight.

"Why do you even spend time with her..she hurts you too much you know.."

"Because I love her..papa told me that she's sick..me being there for her makes her better!" She said with a small smile.

"Yeah she hurt me..but hurt people hurt people. She went through a lot so someone should at least be there for her.."

"Dimitri instead of staring at me can you focus on the book please?"

"You really don't recognize me..?"

"Huh?"

"Nothing, I just can't help staring at you..you're so pretty.."

"I'm sure the words in the book are much prettier." Mariella clapped back flipping the pages in the book.

"So..why were those kids picking on you."

Mariella flinched and her eyes widen slightly at the question.

She gently rub her arm and then took a deep breath.

"It's none of your business."

"Dimitri." She hissed in a cold tone glaring at him.

"Mind your business and stay in your lane."

"But-"

"Please.." She sighed. She was tired of this..

But they were right.

No one cares about her.

Dimitri only huffed in annoyance. "Fine, since you wanna deal with everything by yourself." He said in a cold tone. He then left her alone in the library.

He was going to get to the bottom of this on his own.

School was finally over. Of course it didn't end peacefully for her. There was a cut on her cheek with a bandaid over it.

Lilah also investigated who hurt her but of course Mariella ended up getting defensive and accidentally yell at Lilah which made her cry..
