KEISHA'S POV

When I awoke from my nap, Emilio's words are the first thing that come to mind. How is it possible for God to permit such a repulsive beings to live? What have I done to myself? What did he mean by saying I was someone's mate? Is this a ploy to test if I'll believe them or if they can convince me of something? But suddenly everything makes sense. Everything I've seen and heard makes much more sense now. All I want is to be at home. What are my parents thinking? Undoubtedly, my mum is under a lot of stress. When I remember my family, tears begin to stream freely. If it is true that this is another realm, how would I even get home if I were to manage an escape?

When the door opens, I saw the devi himself. He asks me how I am while sitting on the bed. I told him that I am better now. Just when I was beginning to believe that he wasn't as horrible as he had made himself out to be, he expressed his eagerness for the ritual to take place and it appeared as though he was speaking to no one in particular. I tried to flee the room by getting out of bed, spitting on his face, and told him that I would never let him to use me in a ritual. All I wanted was to leave this place. He pulled me by my braids before I could make it to the door. He was staring at me with flaming eyes. I was frightened, and just as I was going to beg for forgiveness, I had stomach pain. I felt a sting on my chest as I held onto my tummy and noticed that his hand had been replaced by a bloodied claw as I looked down.my stomach and chest were clawed. I couldn't keep my eyes open and I slipped into unconsciousness
