The fall

"Sammy have you seen daddy?" I shook my head looking up at my younger sister "No, why?" She shrugged "I haven't seen him today" I smiled getting up "I'm sure he's okay. he's probably out on his walk like always" A loud explosion went off making me frown "What the fuck was that?" We ran out side fallowed by Maggie and Carl. "GET BACK" Rick, Daryl and Tyreese came running from the garden area holding weapons. Sasha ran over "Whats going on?" The group looked at the fence seeing a bunch of cars, a tank and a man in all black standing tall

"RICK COME DOWN HERE. WE NEED TO TALK" I moved in front of Carl "ITS NOT UP TO ME. THERES A COUNCIL NOW, THEY RUN THIS PLACE" Carl moved in front of me "IS HERSHEL ON THAT COUNCIL" I gulped looking at my sisters, she he was pulled out of the car we gasped. I clenched my fist "WHAT ABOUT MICHONNE. IS SHE ON THE COUNCIL TOO?" Rick looked at us "I DON'T MAKE DECISIONS ANYMORE" You could cut the tension in the air with a knife "YOUR MAKING THE DECISIONS TODAY, RICK. SO COME DOWN HER AND LETS HAVE THAT TALK" I had that feeling in my stomach that something was wrong, that something terrible was about to happen

While he was walking down there, Daryl was talking to a small group. "Now we cant take 'em all on. But we'll go through the admin building, through the woods like we planned. We aint got the numbers no more. Whens the last time someone checked the stash on the bus?" I looked at him "Day before we hit the big spot. We were running low on rations then. We're lower now" he nodded "Ya we'll manage. Thing go south tell everybody to head for the bus. Let 'em all know" Tyreese looked at us "What if everyone doesn't know when things go bad? How long do we wait?" Daryl started to walk away "As long as we can"

Beth grabbed my hand pulling back to them. "Its gonna be okay, daddy will be okay" All she did was squeeze my hand. "All right" Maggie grabbed a gun from Daryl, then Beth and then me. The governor raised his gun shooting two walkers making us jump. This weapon was doing nothing to help my nerves, the governor walked down grabbing Michonnes katana holding it to daddy's neck, the three of us ran to the fence. I put my hand on Beths back holing back my own tears. Everything moved in slow motion, the governor raised the sword and swung at daddy's neck. Maggie screamed, Beth sobbed and me. I raised my gun shooting through my tears

The tank started to move through the fence, but I stood my ground. I stayed shooting "Sam please" I looked at Maggie ignoring her, she ran towards me pulling me away from the fence. We found a new spot continuing to fight. "I'm out of ammo" I continued to shoot "We'll cover you, get to the bucket" She ran, then Maggie then me. While Beth grabbed ammo I grabbed another gun, "We need to get to the bus" They nodded "But daddy" I turned to Beth "He's dead okay. Its us now, and he would want us to be safe" I started to shoot again as I started to run towards the bus. When we reached it the building next to us exploded "GO, GO! COME ON!" I shot behind us

"Glenns in there, I have to get to him" I sighed "Maggie we cant split up" She turned to me "Get these people on the bus, I'll be right back" She started to run again "What if your not" She turned "Then you go without us" Beth started to cry "I wont leave you" I grabbed her shoulder "I'll go with Maggie we'll find you okay" She cried harder, Maggie was already running towns the building "Beth, Beth hey. Get these people on the bus okay. We all have jobs to do, do your job"

We ran into the building running past people "Glenn" I caught my breath "What the hells going on" I turned to the couple "We have to go, now" we ran back towers the bus. As we ran a guy who was falling back got shot, Maggie stopped but I pushed them "Bus" We ran up the steps ushering people in. Maggie started yelling at the lady about where Beth was, they turned to get off but she stopped Glenn, "I'll be right back" I looked at him "I have her" he nodded as I ran off towards my sister throwing her a gun. We ran towards Sasha and Bob while they talked I started to shoot. "Ahh fuck" Bob fell to the floor "Look at my back for an exit wound" Maggie pulled his shirt back "Ya" he nodded growing in pain "Good, we can treat it then" I pulled him up with help form Sasha "The bus is leaving" We looked over seeing it drive off "Its fine" we walked him to another area while Maggie shot "Are you okay?" he nodded "Just dandy" I laughed "Your gonna be okay man, trust me"

He rested his head against the wall "WALKERS" I moved away from him seeing a ton of them "Shit, we need to go now" Maggie looked at me "Beth" I shook my head "We need to go. I don't want to leave her ether but Mags we gotta go" She bit her lip "Bob can you walk?" he nodded "Good, help me get him up" Sasha and I held on to him while we made our way out "What about the rest of the group?" I grabbed my pistole shooting a walker "I don't know. We need to make it to the road and hope they all make it" We walked out of the prison shooting walkers as we went. "The trees" We started to move faster in hopes that we could lose the mess behind us. "I can walk" I nodded letting him rest on Sasha while I walked next to my sister. "His body" I looked down "I know, I know" I interlocked our hands "We need to have faith in everyone that they'll make it out okay" She nodded "I'm glad with you Sam" I hummed in a agreement
