Aria's POV:
April, Leo, Donnie & I are eating out at 'Run of the Mill Pizza' as a waiter brings us the 'Super Creepy Supreme' pizza.
April: "Is that pizza looking at me?"
Pizza Creatures: "Eat us, we are delicious."
April: "Uh, guys, could we maybe just order cheese?"
Donnie: "What? You mean not get the Super Creepy Supreme?"
April: "I wish just once we could go to a normal pizza spot."
Leo: "But you know we can't go into human places with-*gestures to his face*-This whole situation. Embrace it, April. You & Ari are just magnets for weirdness."
April: "I know, it's just sometimes a girl needs normal."
April looks at Donnie & Leo in disgust as they have their mouths full of SCS pizza.
April: "Boys will be boys, right, Ari?"
April turns to me with an expectant smirk but dons a look of surprise as I'm also eating slices of the SCS.
Me: *shrugs* "I guess being half-yokai means I have a more adaptable palate."
April: "Fair enough."
We all turn to look at a table a few feet away as Hueso's entertainer wishes a little boy 'Happy Birthday'.
Exploding Frankie: "Ok, birthday boy, get ready to party!"
Then, he explodes into bits of goo as the guys and I shield ourselves with the menu, having gotten used to this after eating here so many times.
Donnie: "Ah, Exploding Frankie never gets old."
Unfortunately, April got caught in the gooey crossfire.
April: "I'm going to class. You wanna come with me this time, Ari?"
Me: "Sorry, Apes. I missed last week's CCC time with Mikey, so I promised I'd double our time at this week's appointment, which happens to be today. We'll see you later tonight, though."
April nods as she walks off to find the portal to the human world.
{Time skip}
Leo and I pop out from an alleyway to surprise April with a proposition.
Leo: "April, you gotta come. Mikey & Aria found some invisibility paint, we're gonna put it on Dad's tail."
April: *laughs* "I love you, and def send me pics, but now that school's over, I'm just gonna chill and have a nice normal day."
Donnie hangs upside down from the fire escape with an eye roll.
Donnie: "Scoff. Are you really still on this whole-*air quotes*-'I want things to be normal' kick?"
April: *imitates Donnie's air quotes* "Uh, what were these for? I am normal."
Donnie: "Yes, what big city girl doesn't have a kayak and hazmat suit?"
