E-Turtle Sunshine of the Spotless Mind: Part 2/Shreddy or Not: Part 1

Aria's POV:

Child Splinter sits between Grandpa Sho and his mother playing with two action figures as Grandpa Sho tells him how Shredder was defeated years ago.

Sho: "And just before the giant mean teddy bear, Shredder, destroyed the village, the greatest weapon in the history of the Hamato Clan struck him in his cute fuzzy nose and sent them both to the Twilight Realm where they lived awfully ever after."

Raph: "There's a weapon? That's it!"

Atsuko: "Yoshi, sweetie, Mommy has to go."

Splinter's eyes well with tears as he grasps tightly onto his mother's arm.

Splinter: "No, mommy. Please stay."

Atsuko: "Oh, my sweet boy, I wish I could, but it is my duty to keep watch for the return of the Shredder."

Splinter: "But who will hug me when I'm scared?"

Atsuko: "Anata wa hitori ja nai."

Splinter's mom hugs him before rising to walk away. Splinter cries out as he tries to follow her, but Grandpa Sho stops him.

Splinter: "No! No, no, no! Mommy, please stay."

That's why he was so understanding of my losing my mother at such an early age because the same thing happened to him when he wasn't much older than I was.

Raph: "Poor little guy. No wonder he turned his back on the Hamato Clan."

Raph & I turn in surprise to find the real Splinter standing beside us, crying. Raph places a hand on his shoulder as his mom turns to face him one last time.

Atsuko: "One day you will understand the sacrifice we must make as Hamato. Be good for your Grandpa Sho. He has much to teach you. I love you."

With that, she disappears in a flourish of cherry blossom petals.

Past & Present Splinter: "No!"

I drop to my knees and hug the real Splinter as he sobs into my shoulder. Suddenly, the shadowy figure bursts into the memory with the others, and he raises his foot to stomp on us before April appears and hits him in the face with her mystic bat.

April: "So, who wants to go home? Hey, Draxum, get us out of here!"

With that, Dad transports the six of us out of Splinter's mind and back into reality.

Splinter: "What happened? And who put all these tears in my eyes?"

Raph & I share a look and smile before turning to face the others.

Me: "Guys, we found out what we need to do to defeat Shredder."

Raph: "Apparently, there's a weapon in the Twilight Realm. So, all we need to do is figure out what the Twilight Realm is, where it is, how to get there, how to get out, how to use the weapon, and probably survive some other stuff!"

Dad: "I am familiar with the Twilight Realm. I can help you retrieve the weapon."

All: "Draxum, Draxum, Draxum!"

Dad summons his magic and creates a portal to the Twilight Realm.

Dad: "I have located the weapon. It's on the edge of the vortex. You must breach the barrier and grab it."

Splinter: "Hot Soup!"

Splinter rushes forward to leap through the portal as we follow after him.
