The Hidden City Job: Part 2

Aria's POV:

Hueso: "Piel, you did not tell us this was her auction."

Piel: "Ah si. Si, but only because if I did, I knew you wouldn't come."

Me: "No kidding. She dislikes me enough without her long-lasting rivalry with my father and proper grammar."

Big Mama: "Remember, this is all to raise money for my favorite charity: Me and my upcoming fantabulous Battle Nexus wizbang."

Hueso: "Well, since I wish to live, I will not taking from Big Mama today."

Me: "Right behind you."

Leo stops us from leaving by dragging us over for a sidebar.

Leo: "You can't quit on your brother. When Donnie needed my to pull his baby tooth did I give up? No. I kept yanking and twisting and pulling till it came out."

Me: "Leo, Donnie told me that story. You pulled the wrong one."

Leo: "It was a big tooth!"

Hueso: "Fine. Let's get this over with."

Piel: "Here's the plan. We are after item 38. Once the items are sold, they go back into the impenetrable vault, so we absolutely must get item 38 while it is still backstage."

Big Mama: "Item 38 sold."

Hueso & Piel: "What?"

Big Mama: "Take it to the impenetrable vault. Now onto item one."

Me: "Who does item 38 first?"

Hueso: "Ah, well, this has been fun. Shall we get a nice falafel?"

Piel: "It's gone into the vault!"

Leo: "No, we can still get it. We just need something to sell."

{Time skip}

Leo & I stand on a podium hidden beneath a cloth as Hueso wheels us onto the auction stage.

Hueso: "Uh, we have item 1.5.-*whispers*-I do not think this will work."

Leo: *whispered* "Yes it will. Just read the card."

Hueso: *reads card aloud* "Item 1.5. The turtle Adonis & the legendary goddess Aphrodite."

Hueso pulls the cloth to reveal Leo & me covered in gold paint as he pretends to eat a stem of grapes while I don a 'Snow White' pose. Hey, Donnie always calls me 'his Aphrodite'. I might as well put it to good use.

Hueso: "Behold the exquisite physique, the goddess-like poise, the god's chiseled chin-"

Big Mama: "Stop the auction. I love it! I had no idea we had an item this scrumulent. Take it to my private gallery."

Piel: "No! I mean, I will give you one doubloon."

Big Mama: "I guess I don't want it that much. Sold. Take it to the vault."

A portal opens beneath us as Hueso, Leo & I land in the impenetrable vault.

Me: "We're in. Now, to find item 38."
