Jallikattu love

Year : 1991............Place : Alanganallur......

The whole town of Alanganallur was set to conduct the world famous jallikattu with bulls from all around its town and district. The galleries were set up and the people were cheering as the men and youngsters entered the field. With all the prayers and wishes from the collector and MLA the sport started with the loud cheersfrom the crowd when the bulls were released from the vaadivasal. Many younsgters tried to tame the bull and the event went until the evening. 

At the end of the ceremony Mr. Kannan was awarded first prize for taming many bulls in the entire sport. When he was leaving the place a man in his mid twenties hugged him suddenly.

Man: Sir, unga veeratha pathu naa appadiye flat ayiten. Enakku mattum oru thangachi illa ponnu irundha ungalukku dhan katti kuduppen.

Kannan: Ippo mattum enna, unga ponna en paiyanukku katti kudunga enna oru 20 years wait pannaum yen na nethu dhan enakku paiyyan porandhu irukkan. 

Man: Kandippa enakku kalyanam agi ponnu porandhu unga paiyanuku dhan katti kuduppen.

Year 2017....Place : Alanganallur...

Jallikattu as usual ended up successfully and a young man Thiru was awarded first prize. When he left the place a man in his 40s hugged him.

Man: thambi, ungala pathu naa appadiye flat ayiten. En ponna ungalukku dhan katti kuduppen thambi...varen pa..

Year 2018...Place Palamedu

Thiru was awarded the first prize for his excellent talent and taming many bulls. The same man came to him and hugged him.

Man: thambi, ungala pathu naa appadiye flat ayiten. En ponna ungalukku dhan katti kuduppen thambi...varen pa..

Thiru's friend Arul saw him with wide eyes.

Arul: dei indha aalu pona varusham kooda idhey dhan da sonnaru enakku nalla nyabagam irukku.

Thiru: Vidra yedho chumma sollitu poraru...vaa namma velaya papom.

Year: 2023....Place: Alanganallur:

Thiru came out of the field with the award in his hand and was surrounded by his friends celebrating his consecutive victory.

Arul: Dey Thiru, indha varushamum andha aal varuvara ? Vandha indha vaati pudichu katti pottu avar ponnu yarunu kette aganum da. Manushan varusha varusha, idhey velaya pannitu irukaru. Poruthadhu podhu pongi ezhu magadheva...

Thiru: Appadiya solra..seri varattum indha mura vidradha illa. Appadi yaru avaroda cleopatra nu pathudalam.

Suddenly the man came out of nowhere and hugged him.

Man: thambi, en ponnu ungalukku dhan thambi.

Arul and his friends caught him from running away and Thiru glared at the man.

Thiru: Yov, ennaiya patha eppadi irukku ? Nee patukku vara un ponnu enakku dhan solra odi pore..yaru ya un ponnu...innaikku naa pathe aganum....olunga katti vai avala...na vera nee solradha nambi en pinnadi suthuna ella ponnayum thorathi vittuten.

Arul: Nee yaru un address enna sollu ..

Man: En peru Madhimaran father of Vennila surukkama Nila...

Arul: Periya M.Kumaran son of Mahalakshmi...endha ooru ?

Madhi: En ooru Ayyankottai...varusham thavarama jallikattu pakka varuven..

Arul: Unna pathi yaru ketta, un ponnu pathi sollu ya..mapilla vera tired ah irukkan patha oru gilugiluppu varum la.
