"Congratulations, baby."

Mangiyak ngiyak kong dinamba ng yakap si Santi. Halos mapatili ako ng iangat niya ako at isang beses na inikot! Now I'm crying and laughing at the same time. Halo halo ang nararamdaman ko.

Our graduation ceremony just finished. I have now graduated! I graduated with the highest honor and I'm very happy because I made my family and Santi proud.

We celebrated my graduation in our house after the ceremony. May party na hinanda ang pamilya ko. All our relatives are invited, and I also invited Santi's relatives. Hindi nga lang makakapunta ang magulang niya dahil sa mahigpit nilang schedule sa ibang bansa. But we are scheduled to visit them next week when Santi's schedule clears out. Sa ngayon kasi ay abala pa siya sa year end requirements nila.

"What are your plans now? Are you going straight with training?"

"Not yet. Magpapahinga muna ako for one month, before I apply for training. Magbabakasyon din kasi kami ni Santi next week sa kanila."

Sybil nods and smirks. Elegante siyang nakasandal sa standing table, slowly sipping on the margarita she got from the setup bar counter we had here in our house.

A lot if things changed in the past years. Crystal left the country after senior high and now we only have a little communication with her. While Sybil got arranged into marriage as soon as she turned eighteen, despite being in a relationship with Marvin. And she's now married to a business tycoon who is eight years older than her.

Hindi ko alam ang nangyari sa kanila ni Marvin at nagpakasal siya sa pinili ng magulang niya sa kaniya. She's my best friend but I have no idea about her reason.

Although I respect that, I wish she would share a little of her burden with me since I'm the only person she trusts. Nag-aalala ako dahil dalawang taon na siyang tahimik sa nangyari. Even when Marvin objected on the day she married her husband, she remained tight-lipped about it.

"What about you? I didn't see your husband today at our graduation ceremony."

Pasimple kong inobserbahan ang ekspresyon niya sa naging tanong ko. But her face remained blank like a white canvas. Same old reaction whenever we talk about her husband.

"He was busy running both his and our family's business. I rarely see him. Sa totoo lang, nagugulat nga ako kapag nakikita ko ang mukha no'n sa bahay. Paano pa kung nandoon siya kanina sa ceremony? It'll be a miracle." She chuckled.

Honestly, her husband is very handsome. He was polite when I met him and talked to him on their wedding day since I was the maid of honor. He was very formal but not rude. Seryoso at tahimik na lalaki, pero mukha namang hindi masamang tao.

Kaya rin siguro hindi ako tumutol sa pagpapakasal ni Sybil kahit na sobrang biglaan no'n. Just two months after her eighteenth birthday, she got married with that man.

"But our parents were rushing us to have a baby."

Halos mabuga ko ang iniinom na cocktail sa sinabi niya.

"W-What? But you're just twenty-one!"

"Actually, they were at that issue since we got married." Then she simply sipped on her drink like it didn't matter.

Ako naman ay halos bagsak panga nang nakatingin sa pagiging kalmado niya. She's not even flustered, not even a bit! Actually, even when she got married, she wasn't mad like I expect her to be. Which doesn't make sense!

"S-So...anong plano niyo ng asawa mo?"

Nagkibit balikat siya.

"E'di magsex hanggang makabuo."
