I stayed in Santi's house for the whole weekends. Gusto naming mag-usap ng masinsinan na kaming dalawa lang, pero hindi namin magawa dahil palaging gustong sumama sa akin ni Cohen. He doesn't want to get away from me even for an hour. Sa kuwarto niya din ako natutulog dahil gusto niya akong katabi. I can see how much Santi wants to be with me but he can't win against his son.

Monday came. He drove me to the office after we dropped Cohen off at his school. Even though he was late for his meetings, he still insisted on driving me to the company.

"Are you busy later? Let's have a dinner out. Cohen has plans with Mom. I want you by myself later."

Nakangiting tumango ako. "Sure."

Kinuha niya ang kamay kong nasa hita ko at dinala niya 'yon sa labi niya. He kissed the back of my hand and place it on his lap.

"Don't remove your hand there. I need that to focus."

"What?" I laughed. "Why would you need my hand on your lap to focus?"

Ngumisi lang siya ng makahulugan. I playfully squeeze his leg, making him groan. Namilog ang mata ko sa naging reaksyon niya.

"Santi!"

"What? It's been six years, baby–"

"Shut up!" Tumatawang pigil ko sa reklamo niya.

Nag-asaran kami hanggang sa maihatid niya ako sa kumpanya. Gusto pa sana niyang umakyat sa opisina ko pero hindi ko na siya hinayaan pa. He was already ten minutes late for his meeting! At may meeting din ako in fifteen minutes!

It was a busy morning for me. I've done most of my work but there's still a lot of minor issues. Nagkaroon pa ako ng isang lunch meeting, and it was a very uncomfortable one.

"I heard you were a flight attendant before you went to Rome. May mga bansa ka pa bang gustong puntahan, o balikan? I have three private planes."

Gustong gusto ko ng umalis kanina pa. Nung makita ko pa lang siya, ramdam ko na kaagad na ayaw ko sa kaniya. He's very arrogant. If only I could leave, I'll do it wholeheartedly!

I knew something was fishy when the supposed to be online meeting changed into lunch meeting. Ang alam ko, ama ng kaharap ko ang dapat na kausap ko. I don't know why this guy interfere with my business with his father. Ngayon, mukhang alam ko na kung bakit.

"I can take you everywhere! Where do you want to go?"

"Home," I whispered just enough for me to be the only one to hear.

"Did you say something?"

Tinignan ko siya at pekeng nginitian. Kanina pa ako nawalan ng gana sa pagkain kaya hindi ko na ginagalaw 'yon. While this man in front of me is very energetic. Kailan ba matatapos 'to?

"I didn't say anything, Mr. Zamora. Can we talk about the contract now? Lunch is almost over-"

"Don't worry about it! I'm free until dinner. About the contract, father agreed to sign it."

Ayon naman pala, e! Bakit pa ako narito kung ganon?! This is a waste of time!

Binaba ko ang hawak na utensils. We're done here. I'm done with him! Hindi ko na kayang magtagal pa kasama ang mayabang na 'to kaya kahit pa bastos na umalis, gagawin ko!
