We want to take things slow even though we're already engaged. Both our parents wanted a grand wedding for us. We decided to do it in October, which is seven months from now. We have a lot of time to prepare. Sinadya 'yon ni Mama at Tita Lucia dahil nagkasundo silang kilalang designer ang gagawa ng gown ko at suit ni Santi, at dress and suit ng mga maid of honor, bridesmaid, at groomsmen.

They we're planning to hold two weddings. One here in the Philippines, and one in Manhattan where Santi's hometown is. With different sets of gowns and suit.

I can't imagine the cost of everything.

Most people think that our relationship was perfect. They were wrong. No relationship is perfect. Lalo na, women are sometimes more persistent than men. Especially those who thinks they can get every men they wanted.

"You're late again."

He just came home and it's already past midnight.

"We're handling a difficult case this time."

"We?"

"I was with Attorney Castro in a meeting."

He went silent. I didn't respond. Bumuntong hininga siya at nilagpasan ako.

"Let's talk again when you're calm enough to understand that she's just a coworker for me. No need to get jealous."

"I am calm!"

"You're raising your voice. Bukas na lang tayo mag usap. Let's just sleep for tonight, please."

I bit my lower lip when he pulled me closer for a hug. He sounds exhausted. He placed me on our bed then he head out to shower. Tahimik kaming natulog pagtapos niya maligo.

I was hoping to talk to him when I woke up in the morning...but he already left when I opened my eyes. I just saw my breakfast and a note on the bed table.

'I'll be late again for today. I'm sorry, baby. I'll make it up to you after this case. I love you.'
- Your Husband.

That note wasn't enough to lift up my mood. I was expecting us to talk. I also wanted to talk to him about my three days stay in Japan for a team retreat. Today is my flight.

Bahala na nga. I'll just text him the details. He's busy anyway. I'm sure he won't mind if I go out of reach for three days.

Nag empake na ako. I was used to this so I finished quickly. Ilang oras pa at nasa himpapawid na kami.
