Conflicted Heart

Sora has been watching the resistance train lately.

If he was not neck deep in tech stuff, that many of its jargon bounced off my head when he tried to explains what he was doing and why he did that—how did Kurosaki get it? It was practically another language on its own!—then he would watch the resistance members train, sparring with each other, and listen intently when Yuto took over a group to coach.

It was... almost strange.

Because he got this contemplating look on his face.

He quickly hides it away and pretends to be busy with something when he caught someone staring.

Well

I don't feel any malice coming from him.

Call it faith, but it doesn't seem he will betray us in favor of his mentor. Ex mentor.

(There are things I still haven't know about Sora.

I wish Yuya was here too, so we together can know each other better)

Since it was not any danger, it was not my immediate worry, no. The thing I'm concerned the most is Yuto.

He had been staring off at the distance lately. As if he was seeing something no one else can see.

It was familiar feeling. Almost exactly like when I'm still clueless about Magic and Duel Spirits while Yuya has whole circus of telepathy crossing over his head. Both literally and figuratively.

Hey, Euterpe.

"Yeah." She nodded. "His power is awakening. A rather powerful one. Subtle, but powerful."

Whatever it is, I hope Yuto get hang onto it quickly. Spacing out can be dangerous.

Wait. I don't know I had powers until Floren-nee and Yuya explains it to me, after you and Yuya's magician take your enmity to whole different level. Does it means I have to sit Yuto down and explains things to him?

I'm not going to look forward for that.

There's so much to unpack and I don't have all the knowledge. Yuya has it better than me, on virtue he has his power much longer. Maybe days or weeks longer, but he still has more information.

And Floren-nee has complete keys to the strange things that are happening.

Guess I have to improve.

All I can hope is for Yuto to at least listen me out.

And Shun. And Sora.

We share same room and we are a group. It would be impossible to hide secrets from them.

"Sorry Melody. If it was any consolation, I'll be there with you."

I know, Euterpe. And thank you for the support.

"Yuzu."

"Yes?" I blinked, returning at task on hand: Making dinner.

"Are you okay? You kind of stop peeling potato there."

Oh right. "Sorry." I quickly get back to work. "Just... worried."

"Well." Allen shrugged. "I get what you mean. It has been quiet lately."

I blinked. "Quiet?" I ask him skeptically, and then pointed to training area. "That?"

Tenjo-san and Kurosaki-san are trying to pummels each other into the ground. Again. This time, through duel.

They are either best friends or frenemy slash rival. It's up to coin toss which side it lands on for the day.

"Not that." Allen chuckles, but his expression quickly become worried. "The scout and patrol teams haven't encountered any soldiers lately. Their mission always ends smoothly"
