Putting things back together

The next few days and weeks were busy but we had come up with a new version of the Accords that would be good for all. Plus not put secret identities out for all to know so that people could be safe and loved ones of people with powers would not be pushed into the spotlight.

I was sitting around with the Avengers, all of them now that there were quite a few plus Pepper was here who was now on better terms with dad and they were working it out which I was happy about.

"All I am saying dad is if people would have known I was also your daughter when I was younger as well I would have been in so much more danger than what I already was in."

"What do you mean by that?" I realized too late that I had said something I probably should not have brought up in the first place but now that I had and everyone was looking at me I figured to go with it as we had all agreed to this complete truth and honesty thing.

"When I was younger you remember that out-of-the-blue trip mom said we went on?"

"You were gone for a little over a week. Your mom said it was last minute and she forgot to talk to me about it."

"Well, that was not the complete truth."

"What is?"

"Well, mom needed a cover while they looked for me."

"What do you mean while they looked for you?" Nat spoke up.

"Well, you know how I told you all that mom and the others knew Hydra was still around."

"Yes," I got from a few of them.

"Well before it was just a guess on things after they knew."

"After what?"

"I was kind of, sort of, taken by Hydra. But I was completely alright. Mom, Peggy, and the others found me safe and sound and I was checked as soon as they got me back home. One of the reasons I was so clingy for a while after and didn't like sleeping in my room."

"You were kidnapped by Hydra and no one said anything."
"Well you didn't want to hear about any of that and mom figured the less who knew the better. They went in, got me, and got out. Peggy and the guys came out of retirement to come for me."

"Who else went?"

"Mel and Phil" I mumbled.

"They even knew?"

"Well, mainly because they were really good and loved me. Though they didn't know everything just that I was taken and they were getting me back."

"Are there any other big secrets you are keeping?"

"It depends on your definition of big."

"How old were you?" Steve asked me.

"I had just turned six, and watching mom, Peggy, and Mel work together is something I will never forget. When I was there I heard them talk about the Winter Soldier and that is when I started to ask questions. I was a pretty good reader and so after when I was home and a little more comfortable I would set and read SHIELD files and was trying to learn all I could. I made Peggy and the others tell me all about Hydra and everything else they knew. They made it kid friendly obviously but as I got older they told me more and I would read more. I wanted to stop them forever so they could not do something like that again and they would stop hurting people. That is when Peggy started to call me her supper spy because I was always getting into things I should not have been to learn all that I could."
"What happened after?"

"Not much mom was a lot more careful about who was allowed around me and we moved on. That is why when Sitwell said that Hydra wanted me on that roof I kind of freaked out. They have wanted me for a long time and I knew if they took out everyone in their way, all of you, they would be able to get to me with no problem at all."
