It was summer, seemingly just like any other summer but it was not.
Now before we start a little bit about myself.
I have a Mother and a Father, they weren't my real Parents, no, they adopted me when I was a baby but I still call them my Parents. They don't really care for me and were always out of the house working or stuff. But they gave me a home, when I was younger they made me food, witch I was all very grateful for.
One thing I had to do, was grow up fast at the age of 9, I was making most of my own meals, walking to school, and cleaning the house.
My Parents now only cook meals for me on my birthday and Christmas.
I also didn't really have any friends at school. Even though my life was anything but special I always felt different, like I didn't belong, like I was meant for something more. Not just because strange things happen to me all the time, things I couldn't explain when I was angry or sad, but I just felt out of place.
One week before my 11th birthday I got a letter. I very interesting letter. On the front in big letters it read.
Miss. (First letter of your first name) Black.
I flipped it over as I walked up to my room admiring it. The letter was sealed with a red wax stamp with a 'H'. I ripped open the letter curiosity filled my brain as I began to read.

Dear Miss. BLACK
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry,
Students shall be required to report to the Chamber of Reception upon arrival, the dates for which shall be duly advised.
Please ensure that the utmost attention be made to the list of requirements attached herewith.
We very much look forward to receiving you as part of the new generation of Hogwarts' heritage.

Uniform

Three sets of plain work robes (black).
One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear.
One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar).
One winter cloak (black, with silver fastenings).
Please note that all pupil's clothes should carry name tags

A History of Magic, Bathilda Bagshot.

Magical Drafts and Potions, Arsenius Jigger.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Newt Scamander.
The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection, Quentin Trimble.
Other equipment
1 wand.
1 cauldron (pewter, standard size 2).
1 set glass or crystal phials.
1 telescope.
1 set brass scales.
Students may also bring an owl or a cat or a toad.
