Nagising si Khali sa munting tunog ng pinto kaya‘t nakita niya ang pagpasok ng Hari. He‘s all dressed up again.
Nilapag niya ang coat na hawak sa sofa bago lumapit sa dalaga. Khali scoots over so he could sit down but Trevor proceeded to lay down beside her.
“Makukusot na naman ang damit mo...”
“Who cares... I want to cuddle my baby...” he said and pulled Khali in for a hug.
Her head rested on his arm, while Trevor was playing with her golden blonde hair.
“Take care, alright? Huwag kang kung saan-saan na naman nagsususuot. No one finds you better than I do.” bilin nito.
“Saber may not be here but his goons are still here. I‘ll watch over him myself so he can‘t do anything stupid.”
Thanks to him being invited to the said party, Saber was confirmed to leave the country even earlier than Trevor.
“Moreover, Nieves isn‘t here to watch over you.” Trevor said.
“Did you already find him?” Khali asked out of curiosity.
Ilang araw na kasi itong wala, siguro‘y mag-iisang linggo o mahigit pa. Bilang class president, madalas rin kasi itong tanungin ng adviser nila sa kaniya kaya pati siya ay napapahanap sa kaniya.
“No...” he answered, and after that was a long silence that made Khali think as if he was hiding something from her again.
“Baka naman tinanggal mo na siya?” Khali guessed.
“Of course not... I may get jealous of him sometimes, but I can‘t fire him for that reason because he‘s the best at his job. Kahit papaano nakakampante ako kapag siya ‘yung nagbabantay sa baby ko...” sagot nito habang hinahaplos ang buhok nito.
Kanino ba siya hindi nagselos? He‘s even low-key jealous of Kevin, so, it‘s not very surprising for Khali to find out that he‘s also jealous of Nieves. Maging kay Jaemin nga ay nagseselos siya.
“Don‘t worry. For now, I‘ll put Iron or Alexander in charge of you—”
“No, don‘t. Sinong kasama ni Jaemin?” pagtanggi ni Khali.
“Sinong kasama mo niyan?” kunot-noong balik-tanong ni Trevor.
“I‘ll be fine. I‘m going home, anyways. My brothers will be there...”
Jaemin needs protection more than I do... especially now.
“You‘re not lying for your friend‘s sake again, are you?” paniniguro ni Trevor.
“No.” Khali replied sincerely.
Tumawag ang nakatatandang kapatid ni Khali kanina lamang.
Muling nag-ring ang cellphone ni Khali ngunit gaya kanina ay hindi niya ito binigyang pansin. Nagtaka si Jaemin kung bakit hindi niya ito sinasagot kaya sinilip niya kung sino ang caller.
