"There's no sign of him anywhere," Jack reported as he walked up to Kayla and Mary Margaret. "Who was he?"
"A very lonely man," Kayla reasoned.
"Well, we should get back to town, especially if Mary Margaret is to get to her hearing in time,"
"That is if Mary Margaret wants to go back," Kayla said looking at her best friend.
"You want me to run?" Mary Margaret asked.
Kayla shook her head "No. But it's your choice,"
"Kayla, everyone thinks I killed Kathryn,"
"Mary Margaret, you have to believe me, you have to trust me, Jack, and Emma. I know it seems impossible, but we can get you out of this,"
"Why is it so important to you what happens to me?"
"All my life, I've been alone and an outsider. You saw me and took me in. I can't lose my family again. Plus, wouldn't you rather face this together than alone?"
"As much as I love chick flick moments, we're on a time crunch ladies," Jack reminded.

Kayla sat on Jack's desk as Regina walked in. She couldn't help but smirk when she noticed Regina's smile fall when she noticed Mary Margaret still in the cell. "Madame Mayor,"
"Good morning," Regina greeted.
"Excuse me," Mr. Gold interrupted "but my client is not having any visitors,"
"Of course not,"
"I'll see you out,"
Kayla couldn't help but snort once Regina had walked out the doors, which caused the trio in the room to also burst out laughing.

"Henry," Kayla greeted as she noticed the boy sitting outside the schoolyard. "I found Mary Margaret,"
"How is she?" Henry asked.
"She's okay. Other than being on trial for murder, she's fine,"
"Hi, Henry. Hey Aunt Kayla," Paige smiled as she walked by.
"Hey, kiddo," Kayla said. She watched Paige, a frown forming as she thought back to Jefferson constantly watching her through a telescope.
"Ms. Smith, are you okay?" Henry voiced Kayla out of her thoughts.
Kayla glanced down and noticed that her hand was clutching as if she were wearing an invisible necklace. "Henry, do you have your storybook with you?"
Henry nodded.
"Can I see it?"
"Yeah. Why?"
Kayla shook her head. "I'm just curious about something,"
Henry handed over the book, and Kayla immediately flipped through the pages until she found an illustration of what looked like Jefferson looking over his top hat.
Kayla flipped the page again and noticed a drawing of a woman handing a stuffed animal to a girl that looked similar to Paige.
"What?" Henry asked. "What is it?"
Kayla's fingers brushed against the picture of the woman, and she looked over at Henry. "Can I hold on to this?"
Henry smiled excitedly. "Absolutely," he hurried into the school building and looked at Kayla as she continued to look through the book's pages. He took out a walkie-talkie. "I think she's starting to remember,"
