Huh?
Nani!?
Just when I was lost in my own thoughts, I felt a sudden relief. It was almost like all the dark magic had escaped my body.
"Can you move now?" Jayden questioned. He withdrew his hand from my neck.
"Ahh. . ." I beamed, "I am feeling so fresh!" I had enough energy to spring up and run 2 rounds of the entire field (it was about half a size of a stadium). But, I chose to get up carefully.
With the wall's support, I stood up.
Eh?
What's that sticky stuff?
Some sticky stuff had got on my hands when I touched the wall.
As I brought my palms closer to inspect them, I was shocked to see a big red stain on them.
"Blood!?" I freaked out.
What the hell?
My gaze met Jayden's. He was as shocked as me, or was he?
He looked surprisingly calm.
That could only mean that. . .
He has experience with blood.
I turned around towards the wall, only to discover a splash of blood on it.
I froze in place.
I can't stress, this is not time to stress.
*exhales*
I have only one option now.
I turned towards Jayden, who was as confused as I was.
"Let's go, I'll explain this mess later." I told him. But of course, I had no idea how I would do it.
I followed him towards the infirmary. He was mysteriously quiet the whole while.
I suddenly started feeling uncomfortable around him.
I know he saved me just now. . . But doesn't that make him more suspicious?
I mean, how did he handle things so perfectly?
It's almost as if he knows all this, like he's been through it all.
I have to keep my eyes wide open for any clues. I can't trust him. . . Not just yet.
